5 Vacation Destinations You Need To Add To Your Bucket List

Hands up if you can’t stop thinking about your next getaway? I know I am! And with so many exotic destinations distracting my attention away from work, work, work who can blame us? The world is preparing for the hot months ahead, and I’m not going to be the only one left behind in the city this year. Umming and ahhing about where to go? That’s about to change. Find me in basking with a pina colada in one of these destinations below, are you going to join me?

1. Santorini, Greece

Santorini is the ultimate vacation destination. With sand, sea, and blue skies, it’s the best place to rest and recharge. Take a walk amongst the iconic buildings and up your Instagram game, relax by an infinity pool with a cocktail, embrace the water sports in the daytime and the incredible Greek cuisine in the evening. Sound like heaven? Find out more here.

2. Grindavik, Iceland

A cool toned landscape of cold blacks and blues, Grindavik is home to the awe-inspiring Blue Lagoon – the geothermal pool that lets you float amongst the fairy-tale landscape as your worries drift away. Located in a black lava field, you can submerge into the waters rich in blue-green algae and mineral salts. Because the fine silica mud is the perfect recipe for exfoliating the skin, it’s no surprise that people flock there to slather the mud over their bodies. Find out more here.

3. Old Havana, Cuba

Cuba is the place to be now, it’s a great time to visit. Old Havana is a city awash with the vivid hues of an artist’s palette, where musical notes ricochet off the crumbling walls. Where rum is cheaper than water and you can’t catch a Wi-Fi signal no matter how hard you try.

A jigsaw of peeling pastel walls and shady alleyways. Sit on the beach at sunset, enjoy the food, the music, the art and the vibrant life. Finally, relax and allow your mind to wander back to a time when Ernest Hemmingway would have sat writing, amongst the heat and hassle, with his favorite cocktail on the side – of course! Start planning your vacay here.

Gili Trawangan, Indonesia

Gili Trawangan is a minuscule island that sits quietly off the coast of Lombok and rests next to its two other sister islands. Spend your Indonesian sunset swinging above crystal waters and against an idyllic island backdrop on the Instagram-worthy water swing set. Dip your toes in the crystalline waters and watch the burnt orange sun sink into the endless still ocean, forget about work and enjoy life – you deserve it. Find out more here.

Pig Island, Exuma

A picturesque island in the Bahamas, inhabited only by squeaking pigs, nestled secretly amongst the 365 islands in Exuma. Need I say more? Swim amongst the glass like waters alongside pink spotted friends in the picture-book island of Big Major Cay. Dry off under the pulsing sun on a bed of white sand and watch families of pigs splash around in the clear waters at your feet. Find more info here.
