How To Build Your Own Workout Routine

It’s hard enough building up the motivation to work out, let alone finding the time to fit it in. As confirmed Career Girls, it’s a wonder how we can even do it all. Unfortunately, we’re not gifted with bodies that can maintain fitness themselves, that would be too easy! But girls, we know all too well that busy diaries, busy social lives, busy everything doesn’t leave a lot of room for much else. So, you need a routine that it is suited to you, and for you only, but where can you find one of these you ask? Simple, why don’t you just make your own?

1. Outline your fitness goals

Everyone has different areas that they want to combat. Figure out which areas you want to target, and plan what workouts you can do to compliment this. Instead of getting lost in cardio, and fitness classes, pinpoint the workout that you actually want to do. Get your body your way! And start today, Monday never comes and don’t we know it!

2. Create your own personal trainer

Having a fitness band that tracks all your progress for you makes it easy enough. It will keep you motivated to achieve your body goals, and even to push yourself harder. Somehow logging your progress and competing against your friends and family makes working out fun. It’s as simple as linking it to your mobile phone, and from there you can monitor your food take, graph your progress and see how you can improve your training, just like looking at a watch!

Health O Meter NuYu Fitness & Sleep Tracker available here, Fitbit Alta Wireless Fitness Tracker available here, Blaze Smart Fitness Watch available here.

3. Use your phone to motivate you

There are so many good apps out there that you can choose from which will best suit what routines you want to do. So, it’s all depending on what movements and workouts you want to do. You can even do them all, and alternate between them all. If you’re trying to be more flexible, Yoga Stretch is a good one because it allows you to design your own yoga session like a pro! You can also add music or a video to either help guide you or motivate you! Find it here.

Our favorite app is the Nike Training Club, this app works as your personal trainer. With 100+ workouts you have basically an unlimited choice of what you want to do. Plus, once you finish one goal you can move onto your next fitness achievement! Receive expert guidance from each workout, which will help you to master your technique and enable you to get the most of your workout when you have the time for it! Find it here.

Nike ‘Element’ Dri-FIT Half Zip Performance Top available here,  ‘S’well White Marble’ Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle hereFENTY by Rihanna Bow Sneaker available here.

4. Use YouTube when you’re at home

Pick a fitness guru who will work with you like your own personal trainer! Who needs to fork out all that money when basically everything is online these days? Plus, you get to take your workouts at your own pace (pausing the videos, like I do regularly to take a breath), and pick the times you can do it, so you’ll never miss or be late for a class again. Try this quick 7-minute routine if you feel pushed for time:

Tickets are almost sold out for The Career Girl Academy on the 6th May 2017. With a full day program hosted by some of the coolest influencers in blogging, you don’t want to miss this. Get the last remaining tickets here.

  • Youtube is such a great tool to use! I recommend that people use it as you can find tons of stuff on it. I also agree that people need to be more specific than just “I want to loose weight” or “I want to be fitter”.
