In the fast-paced life of a Career Girl, stress and anxiety can often pop up when you least expect it. And we know, when you’re trying to keep it all together, it’s the last thing you need. But, don’t give up, the good news is that there are now so many options to choose from in terms of dealing with stress and anxiety. The even better news is that there are tons of apps out there that can help you feel more relaxed in minutes! Don’t know where to start? That’s where we come in…

1. Headspace

Headspace is an amazing, comprehensive meditation app with different guided and unguided meditations to help you switch off, relax and get your zen back. The app comes fully loaded with free options but you can always subscribe to get even more. Find it here.

2. Pacifica

This app lets you track your mood over time and gives you guided deep breathing and muscle relaxation exercises, daily anti-anxiety experiments and health goals. You can also use Pacifica to record your thoughts to help analyze and understand your thinking patterns, as well as discover and track potential triggers. Find it here.

3. Happify

I personally love this app! It’s all based on positive psychology, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy. As Happify’s name suggests, its number one goal is to help you feel happier and more emotionally fulfilled. Find it here.

4. Positive Activity Jackpot

This app has been created by the National Centre for Telehealth & Technology and draws on a therapeutic method called Pleasant Event Scheduling. The app suggests activities for you based on location and interests, allows you to invite friends, save favorite spots and activities for future use – and if you can’t make up your mind, you get to “pull the lever” and see which positive activity jackpots for you! Find it here.

5. Colorfy

The coloring book craze has gone digital! Colorful provides flowing and relaxing shapes and patterns for you to color in, allowing you precious time out from the hustle and bustle of everyday life as well as giving your creativity an outlet. Find it here.

6. Acupressure: Heal Yourself

This is basically a beginner’s guide to acupressure – the ancient practice of applying pressure to key points on your body in order to ease symptoms you’re experiencing. The app offers illustrated guides and over 90 acupressure combinations to target specific problems. Find it here.

7. 7 Cups

This app is a brilliant tool for when you just need to talk to someone. • Headspace is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. Really makes learning the practice of meditation so much easier, as it walks you step by step. I struggle with restlessness and it has helped me a lot in the past year.
