If you want to compare and contrast the outcomes between taking a leap-of-faith and playing it safe, it’s not surprising to find the vast differences. Sometimes, many of us are offered an opportunity of some sort first, we get excited, but then later, over think the outcomes. Suddenly, it doesn’t feel great and you begin to ask doubting questions. Will this be good for my business? Will this even help me with my goals? Why was I chosen? Is this even a good idea? Don’t worry. It’s normal. But see what successful women do differently to avoid this negativity:

They don’t see obstacles, they only see opportunities

Being a Career Girl calls for these questions, of course. We want to be wise, rational and smart. But many times, we could be blindsided by things we view as obstacles. It could be the distance of a job, time conflictions, unbearable differences or other means of inconvenience. The list is endless. But, the one thing successful women do differently is that they don’t let obstacles get in the way of opportunities.

How can you do this?

There is so much you can gain from by disregarding the obstacles and embracing the opportunities. First, you work harder, and you’ll begin to see how you are capable of much more than you originally thought. Second, by doing this you have made that next step. You’ve moved forward and have grown from this experience. Thus, you are already a better person than you were yesterday. You’re the Career Girl in charge. And lastly, you are able to give back and help other Career Girls going through similar dilemmas. It’s been said many times that we don’t know our own capability until we find ourselves in a different experience. And gaining an opportunity towards your goals is an extra step towards becoming successful. But it can only happen if you see opportunities, even when it seems to be a mountain you can’t climb.

Taking advantage

Granted, switching your mindset to viewing an obstacle as a fresh opportunity is easier said than done. So, it’s important to keep in mind that every step towards your goal is sure to influence you to take any and every dilemma and use it to your advantage. And from there, you have the ball rolling towards becoming successful. Having that successful mindset helps to banish the feeling of failure and grow the feeling of success! Be sure to take a positive detour of viewing something that could be seen as an obstacle, but should be viewed as an opportunity. You’ll be surprised at the success that could come from it!
