Want To Be Happier? Ask yourself This Question Every Morning

How do you start your day? Do you find yourself motivated and ready to slay or are you aimless and waiting for the day to end? Sometimes, what we tell ourselves in the morning has a huge impact on our happiness, which is why positive self-talk is so important. Instead of scrolling through your Instagram feed the first thing in the morning focus on you, and ask yourself one question:

What is the one thing you are determined to accomplish today?

Sometimes, life gets the best of us and it’s easy to give in to our procrastination just to avoid the discomfort of self-growth. When we’re fully aware of the things we need to do or the goals we need to achieve, our sense of purpose motivates us to be happier and to give it all we have.

One of the ways that we can assess our priorities is by programming our minds to accomplish the goals that we have set out for ourselves. By doing so, the feeling of accomplishment makes us happier and excited to grow as a person.

How are you going to accomplish your task?

When you find yourself overwhelmed, re-focus back to the question and the importance of it. Align your priorities, so that you will be able to get things done. Clearing the clutter in our minds makes us happier because it frees up space for positive thoughts.

Start by writing down the one thing that you want to accomplish and have it visible to you throughout the day. It will keep you focused on your task, and keep pushing you forward. Work out how you are going to accomplish it, and what it’s going to take to achieve it. Sometimes, it may even mean leaving the “how” blank until you find yourself with an idea. It’s always great to keep a journal or a handy notebook to write ideas and inspiration down.

Remember…

Be patient. Sometimes, you may just find the solution and the motivation you need at any time of the day. It may not be there straight away in the morning, and that’s ok. But have faith that it will. It’s no good not believing what you’ve written down is possible. Anything is possible Career Girl, you just have to remember that. It really is as simple as believing in yourself. Once your goals are being achieved and worked on you’ll naturally be happier, and if you want happiness you have to be committed to achieving it. Happiness is a choice, so why aren’t you making it? Don’t concern yourself about falling, because what if you fly?
