10 Life-Changing Beauty Hacks Using Vaseline

So, Vaseline probably isn’t the first thing you throw into your makeup bag. It’s one of those unsexy products we all have loitering in some cupboard in the house. But, who knew Petroleum jelly is actually a beauty miracle-maker? This affordable essential has a million uses for your skin, hair, and nails. Here is our selection of the 10 beauty hacks using the stuff that will change your lives!

Tame them brows girl!

Run out of eyebrow gel? No problem, little bit of Vaseline will get them unruly hairs in order. We have another eyebrow instant fix right here!

Instant highlight

Instead of reaching for your powder highlight, next time try rubbing a thin layer of Vaseline over your cheekbones to give a natural shine to your skin. You’ll have the fresh dewy look in seconds.

Split end savior

In between haircuts, split ends are a girl’s worst enemy. To give your hair a quick shine and condition, apply some petroleum jelly to the damaged ends for instant results. For more hair solutions, read our article on DIY hair masks to save your locks.

Dry Cuticles?

If you’re constantly changing nail polish, your nails will suffer… but Vaseline once again saves the day. Massage some onto your cuticles each night to achieve healthy, moisturized nails in days.

Perfumes stay on longer

This hack blew my mind. To make your favorite fragrances stay on the skin for longer, all you have to do is apply Vaseline to the desired area before spraying your perfume and voila!

Make a lipstick-lip balm

This one is for all the thrifty misses out there. You know when you’re at the end of a lipstick and you can’t get to the rest? Next time, dig out what’s left and mix it with some Vaseline to create your own tinted balm in your favorite shade.

Hair dye DIY

While coloring your hair, spread some Vaseline across your hairline to prevent the hair dye from seeping onto your forehead and staining your skin. Magic!

Homemade body scrub

For those with sensitive skin, simply mix together petroleum jelly with sugar granules to give yourself a perfect body scrub that moisturizes and gently exfoliates at the same time. Read all about the simple spa treatments you can do from the comfort of your home.

Removes eyelash glue

If you love the false lashes but worry what the eyelash glue will do to them, Vaseline is the answer. To remove the falsies without pulling out your natural lashes, all you have to do is rub some Vaseline onto your lashline – a bonus, it will help thicken up them lashes!

Repairs dry heels

Summer is approaching, meaning it’s time for the strappy sandals to come out. To get your feet ready, apply lots of Vaseline to your feet before bedtime and cover with fuzzy socks to give your skin the deep moisturization it needs. If you’re wanting to update your wardrobe for the warmer months, we’ve got you sorted here.

I’m definitely going to try the perfume trick! It sounds amazing! I’ve never actually thought to mix Vaseline with sugar to make a scrub. I’ve always used oils previously. I’ll have to try that too. Thanks for the ideas x
