3 Amazing Strategies For Starting A Business Without Any Money

Make no mistake, starting a business is hard and most who are lucky enough to have succeeded share the advice that businesses should start out as small and as low-cost as possible.

 One of my favorite mantras is that we can always think ourselves out of a situation, and more appropriately here, we can always think ourselves into the situations we want i.e starting a business with little to no capital. Career girls should know it will require thinking outside-the-box, a keen eye for spotting opportunity and ultimately taking swift action like a boss. And career babes, can we just add, we totally believe that you can do it. Take a look at three strategies of the smart & successful.

#1 Get the creative juices flowing.

There are two things here that you can create: a product or a service. You’ve heard the saying, ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.’ Pay close attention to where you go and what you do in your normal day-to-day life. You might just find opportunities all around. Look for what businesses & people are wasting. If you can score yourself materials for free, the most expensive part is over and it’s time to create something people will love. There’s another famous saying most business owners would agree with, ‘time is money.’ Look for gaps in businesses where you can provide a service that didn’t exist before and will save them time and possibly make them more money in the long run too. The possibilities are endless.

#2 Leverage a few dollars to find that special something and resell at a higher price.

Everybody knows the story of Sophia Amoruso. The author of #Girlboss and genius behind global fashion giant ‘Nasty Gal.’ With no job and her back against the wall, she found her niche nabbing vintage garments for peanuts (not to mention higher-end fashion statements!). Sophia set up her own eBay store using Myspace as a marketing funnel and voila! The multi-million dollar empire was born. She found a desirable commodity that cost her next to nothing and sold for the highest price her market was willing to pay. How’s that for a bit of girl boss inspiration!?

#3 Use free social media platforms to market your talents and your style that is unique to you!

Beauty gurus & fashionistas tend to do this one very well growing an audience with nothing but a camera and a creative angle. Knowing that you are an incredible force of nature and of all the girls and of all space, time and existence you have a DNA unique to you. That means your thoughts, opinions, smile and style is a unique commodity to someone who needs to be inspired by you. Write a blog, start a photo diary, film videos, communicate about a niche that is authentic to you and you’ll never know who’ll come knocking on your door.
