The latest trailer for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast remake surfaced this week and we couldn’t be more excited! Here are a few movies coming out in 2017 that we can’t wait to see and that you should definitely add to your ‘to watch’ list too!
Beauty and the Beast (dir. by Bill Condon)
The buzz surrounding this much-anticipated Disney remake is overwhelming! The all-star cast has everyone salivating, with the amazing Emma Watson helming the production as Belle, alongside dreamy Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens as the Beast, and Emma Thompson, Ian McKellan, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, and more for supporting cast. We love some of the feminist touches Emma Watson has brought to the film as well – Belle will have a career backstory too.

Fifty Shades Darker (dir. by James Foley)
As soon as the explosive Fifty Shades of Grey exploded into our lives last year, the countdown until the next one began. Whether you love or hate the series, you have o admit it’s pretty far-reaching, almost everybody knows about Fifty Shades. The sequel promises even more action than the first one! We’re interested to see how the new director shapes the second installment in the series after rumors that the last film’s director Sam Taylor-Johnson had a difficult time working with author E. L. James.
Release date: 02/08/2017
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (dir. by James Gunn)
If you loved Guardians of the Galaxy, lucky you. The next installment promises to be just as great, with director James Gunn returning to deliver another amazing film. Who doesn’t love a chance to watch Chris Pratt in anything? Make sure you give the first film a rewatch in anticipation of the sequel coming out. We’re sure there’s going to be yet another amazing soundtrack too!

Wonder Woman (dir. by Patty Jenkins)
After her tantalizing appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it was only right that Wonder Woman (played by the stunning Gal Gadot) get her own movie. Wonder Woman takes us back to the beginnings of the superhero when the Amazon Princess used to live on a remote island and how she made the transition to famous heroine! The movie has female director Patty Jenkins at the helm so we’re hoping for a new spin on female superheroes that doesn’t rely on sexist tropes. The supporting cast is incredible too, featuring Chris Pine and Robin Wright.
Release date: 06/02/2017
