Feeling Down? Try These 4 Superfoods That Really Make You Happy

We love food, so we don’t really need an excuse to fill our bellies, but now according to some research, there are some foods that actually boost your mood!

So if you’re a foodie just like us, here are some awesome better-mood foods that you need to include in your recipes ASAP!

#1 – Mushrooms

One of the superfoods of the year. Mushrooms are full with vitamin D and when you up your vitamin D intake, you will experience a better mood. So, more quiche, salads and omelets full of mushrooms this season for a happier you.

#2 – Green Tea

We love our cup of green tea. It already has so many benefits and now it also can make you a happier person. According to research, if you drink 5 or more cups a day your psychological stress levels will become lower. If you are not a real fan of green tea, just put some tea leaves in your smoothie, soup or sauces, you can use it for so much more than just tea.

#3 – Coffee

YES! What would we do without coffee? According to research, drinking coffee in the morning can be linked to positivity, energy, kindness and pleasure (Duh, like we needed any research for that). Another benefit of coffee is that if you have 2/3 cups per day, you are less likely to experience depression in the long run!

#4 – Dark Chocolate

Another one that makes us happy before even eating it! The antioxidants in chocolate will lower your blood pressure, so you will be less stressed. It also helps to alleviate PMS symptoms (yes!) and of course, dark chocolate triggers a sense of euphoria that is similar to the feeling of being in love (with chocolate).
