So the other day I made plans. Great plans! The kind of plans I hadn’t had in a while. So obviously my skin (which is usually so clear and good to me) decide to erupt in possibly the biggest spot ever underneath my lip.
What to do? After a chat with some industry experts I’ve rounded up 4 of the blemish treatments I’ve found to stop spots in their tracks and speed up their demise.
Use a spot sticker…
Does anyone else touch their spot a thousand times to check it’s still there and recoil at how big it is? A great product for avoiding the temptation to touch or pick a spot is Sarah Chapman Skinesis Spot Stickers all you have to do is pop a transparent sticker on your spot and leave it alone! The little sticker will do all the hard work of healing and reducing that spot!
…Prime it
You can make your spot almost invisible when you add a dab of primer to it. Use the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer and combine it with your favorite foundation.
Use the color wheel…
Color correcting is a revolutionary way to get rid of spots, dark circles, and dullness. There are a few good color correctors on the market; if you’re a fan of powders try Kiko Cosmetics Color Correction Concealer or try Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Neutralizers in green if you have dry skin. Cover up with your foundation and blend with a beauty blender . The secret of Kim Kardashian’s always-on-point make-up. Voilá spot is gone!
Don’t try those old wives tales…
Stay away from toothpaste or anything you heard works well but aren’t sure about. Nothing good comes from sleeping with toothpaste on your face. The best things you can do for a problematic spot are, treat it with well-developed products like Mario Badescu’s Drying Lotion. The Drying Lotion is adored by celebrities and beauty professionals the world over including Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Aniston and Kate Moss.
