4 Ways To Master A Healthy Breakfast Without Breaking A Sweat

 

With busy mornings and fast paced lifestyles, it can become very easy to make bad food choices in the name of getting to work on time, but dedicating a few moments to a morning meal could save you from opting for quick unhealthy breakfast snacks that do little to enhance your productivity through the day.

So to lead you on your way to quick and easy breakfast making stardom, here are some breakfast ideas which will help you master a healthy morning meal without breaking a sweat.

1. Start with a plan
You need to start with a plan if you lay out everything you’re going to be eating and you know exactly what you’re going to need for it – you’ll feel more in control of what you’re eating. Try to choose recipes that take only a couple of minutes to make, if you get up early and fuel yourself right you’ll feel better for the day.

Try this one-minute cheesy mushroom scramble from Women’s Health.

3 eggs
1/2 cup presliced fresh mushrooms
1 ounce 2% shredded mozzarella
1 teaspoon pam cooking spray

Crack eggs into bowl. Whisk eggs to break yolks.
Add mushrooms and cheese.
Spray Pam on hot pan.
Add eggs. Cook and scramble until firm

 

2. Prepare things overnight
Why not use your Sunday evening to prepare some breakfasts and let them sit in your fridge/freezer. All you have to do is pick it up in the morning on your way. The most popular overnight breakfast has to be overnight oats, it’s seriously fast, too.

1/2 cup of old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup of milk
chia seeds, banana, almond butter, syrup, cinnamon (toppings of your choice)

All you have to do is mix equal parts oats and milk in a container and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight. Take some mason jars, fill them up with different toppings and put them in the fridge. Then you can take it in the morning and voilá!

3. Rely on your freezer 
If you regularly skip breakfast, you should think strategically. Rely on your freezer. If you plan to have smoothies in the morning, prepare your ingredients, put them in a ziplock bag and freeze them. All you have to do is take your chosen ingredients and blend them when you need to! A simple green smoothie can be taken with you wherever you go.

– kale
– spinach
– 2 cups almond milk (or water)
– 3 cups your favorite fruits (berries and cherries)

Combine 2 cups of kale or spinach with 2 cups of water or almond milk and blend. Then add 3 cups of your favorite fruit, berries, and cherries will work perfectly with this recipe.

4. Think portable
Breakfast can be super quick. It can be as simple as a spread on a bagel or ordering eggs florentine from a café while you work or have a meeting. If you regularly skip breakfast you should make sure you have stock at your place of work, so the first thing that you do is eat.

You can buy natural yogurt to keep in your fridge and just top it with fruits and seeds. Easy.
