5 Books You NEED In Your Life For Motivation And Success

anchorsandcardigans.tumblr.com

We all lack motivation sometimes, you don’t feel like doing anything, you just want to lay in bed all day and not think about everything you need to do.Are you in need of a motivation boost? Our top 5 books are a must-read when you feel like doing nothing and motivation is nowhere to be found.

These books will inspire and motivate you to be your best at home, work and everywhere in between:

#1 – The Power of Positive Thinking – Norman Vincent Peale

The best book to read when you are in a negative flow. This book is all about how being optimistic makes you healthier and happier.

Favorite quote: “Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all.”

#2 – The magic of thinking big – David J. Schwartz

We should not be afraid to think big. Thinking big separates the achievers from the average. In ‘The Magic of thinking big’ the author suggests that it isn’t necessarily intelligence or work ethic that moves people up the ladder of success, but also the personal choice that people make to believe that there is something bigger and that better is always possible.

#3 – Stuck and Stop – Vicki Hitzges

Are you a procrastinator? Then this book is for you. We are able to stop procrastinating and get our tasks done. In this book, the author shares strategies that keep you going when you feel like doing absolutely nothing.

Quote: ”The first time I remember putting off tasks was when I was a kid and we had to do book reports. The teacher would hold up a book and tell us we had six weeks to buy it, read it, and write a summary of it. Six weeks to a kid is like six dog years. It’s eternity. It’s so far away that the assignment might as well have been optional.”

#4 – Half Full – John Murphy

The choice of perception determines your life. Simply answer the question“Is your life half-empty or half full? ” and you know where you stand.

Favorite quote: “Is your life half-empty or half full? What if I chose to find and embrace the silver linings, the life lessons in disguise? What if I chose to let go of the baggage I have been carrying around? The choice in perception makes all the difference.”

#5 – Laws of Success – Napoleon Hill

This book is the book of wisdom. Napolean Hill conducted 26 years of research, this includes interviews with more than 500 self-made millionaires, and this forms the basis for this massive collection. He studied the methods and achievements of  businessmen like such as John D. Rockefeller, Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, Theodore Roosevelt and Alexander Graham Bell, and turned everything that he knows into ”the Law of Success”
