5 Little Ways To Live The Dream

@taylorlashae

What is like to live the dream?

It’s a question I find myself often wondering, but not something I ever deem as really achievable. That’s why it’s called the dream!

But never did I realize that I could make it happen, and do it on a daily basis in just a few simple steps. All I needed was to be reminded of little things I could really do to live the dream.

And, just in case you need reminding too, which sometimes we do, here are five little ways you can live the dream and start living a happier, fulfilled life now:

1.

Use the power of your mind

You don’t need a mansion, and you don’t even need an imagination. You just need to start seeing your space, even if it is a small city apartment, as your palace and somewhere you love to call home.

Refer to your home positively, and even if it’s a small space it doesn’t mean you can’t do grand things with it.

Take me for example, I haven’t got a massive house but I have made the space mine. It’s all about the way you lay out your home and decorate that can have all the difference.

2.

Be the big fish in the big pond

How you see yourself and your position can have a huge impact on the way you feel about life. For me, I have always been the big fish, and moving to the city means you get lost in a sea of them.

But, that doesn’t mean a thing. You don’t have to occupy the best position, or even be at the top of your field. You need to recognize where you are now and be proud of it.

You can do anything you set your mind to, and as long as you recognize your growth you’ll always be the big fish.

3.

Live large for less

Apartment hunting in the city can be a big problem. It’s difficult to find the perfect apartment, especially when you’re looking for space on a tight budget.

But it can be a lot easier than you think. You would not believe the amount of the unoccupied apartments across the city that sit empty. And there are so many companies that allow you to house sit in the luxurious apartments for less.

So, you can really live the dream in an apartment that’s usually way out of your pay grade, the only downside is it’s that it’s not a long-term solution.

But it might give you a chance to save up some money to get the dream home you’ve always desired!

4.

Don’t fear negotiation

Almost everything can be negotiated. And it can save you some serious money if you start to haggle on most of the things you buy.

Obviously, this is limited to restaurants and your taxes. But everything else is pretty much open to you.

It’s not about being tight with your money, it’s about being smart with it. And the big rollers know and how to do this especially.

5.

Live like the rest

I’m always jealous of the fact that celebrities and people with more money can afford the best gym classes and have the most effective workouts.

But, did you know that you can basically do workouts with any celebrity trainer for free?

Yes, all you have to do is head over to YouTube and take your pick. So, now your workouts won’t suffer and you’ll be doing the exact same thing as the stars for less!

6.

Travel where you know

Rather than spending a lot of money on extravagant holidays, hotels and Airbnb, why not try living like a local?

All you have to do is visit a friend that lives somewhere else and have your holiday for less, and trust me when I tell you that these holidays are the best.

My bestie lives in Switzerland, and it makes for the perfect escape! It’s an experience of the country I could have never of had if I paid for it!

So, why not give it a go?
