She can be a little bit insane and we all know she loves to provoke or just shock the entire world with her appearance. But since she exchanged her long locks for the spicy blonde pixie everyone seems to have an opinion about her. Of course, I am talking about former Disney superstar Miley Cyrus. Little girls grow up and so did Miley. It doesn’t matter if you love her or hate her, she has some great statements we can all learn from. Her are 5 truly inspiring life lessons from Miley.

1. – “The turkey with the longest neck is the one everyone is shooting at”

The more you achieve in life, the more negative things people will say about you. People can get jealous and they will talk behind your back. You know what you’re worth and so do the people that you love. And that’s what’s important. There is no way someone should bring you down with a nasty rumour.

2. – “At the end of the day, the person that has to be happy is me”

This should be your new mantra. Us career girls often do things that don’t make us particularly happy. Of course, it is nearly impossible to always do something you love, but there are some good and bad choices to make. For example by saying no to an extra task you don’t have time for. Or wearing that expensive dress even though there is no special occasion. Just do what makes you happy more often!

3. – “Being yourself is easy, trying to be something you’re not is hard”

With her crazy stick out your tongue statement, she made it very clear that smiling at a camera is not her favourite thing to do. She doesn’t fake a smile, she just shows her weird side. And she encourages everyone to do the same. So embrace your inner craziness and don’t be afraid to show who you really are. Even if that means you have to step out of your comfort zone. It is worth it.

And trust me you don’t want to either. For us career girls this means you don’t always have to get along with everyone to reach the top. You have to make choices and there will always be people who disapprove. Like Miley says: haters gonna hate, so believe in what you’re doing and you’ll be fine.

Everyone makes mistakes and nobody is perfect. We can hear those things a thousand times, but it is still hard to believe. That’s why I love it when even great artists admit to making them. That’s why I can relate to this quote very, very much. Do we career girls ever want to stop learning? Didn’t think so! So even if you make a mistake more than once. Never stop learning!

And then I’m going to tell you about my foundation for an hour and totally hustle you.” She knows she can be seen as eccentric and provocative but she uses the limelight and the money to shed light on important causes and donate to charities.
