5 Things You Need To Binge On Netflix Right Now

@fiahamelijnck/

Are you looking for the best things to watch on Netflix right now? Aren’t we all? I don’t know about you but this time of year I go into hibernation. Now with Covid-19, I will be doing my best not to leave the house before the daisies start to pop through the ground. That means I’m going to have a lot of time to kill and I’ll be relying on the following shows and movies on Netflix to get me through.

01.

The Queen’s Gambit

As Netflix’s most-watched “limited scripted series” ever, it only made sense to begin this list with The Queen’s Gambit. I was a bit late to the party on this one, mostly because I’ve never been a huge chess fan. But once I started watching the rise of chess prodigy Beth Harmon as she battles her inner demons, I could not stop. Watch if you have an entire day to binge it!

02.

Bridgerton

When I heard that people equate this Shonda Rhimes series to Downton Abbey, I knew it was for me. The costumes, the beautiful sets, and the gorgeous humans … this show is sexy as hell and it’s not apologizing for it. Watch this with your S.O. for your next date night.

03.

Emily in Paris

I know, I know, I know. The fashion is loud, the brash American who refuses to learn French (the most beautiful language on the planet) is stereotypical, and the French are depicted as rude. Yes, this is one of the best things to watch on Netflix right now. But I love Paris and since we can’t travel at the moment, I’ll have to live vicariously through Emily. Watch this if you’re having major travel FOMO.

04.

The Prom

I have two words for you: Meryl. Streep. The fact that she shows off her surprisingly amazing voice and she gets to flirt with my newest celebrity crush, Keegan-Michael Key, are just bonuses. Also, I’ll watch anything with James Corden in it. Watch this if you’re missing live music and theater events.

05.

Virgin River (Season 2)

I got my whole family hooked on the first season – we binged it in a weekend. Now that I’m done with holiday movies for the season, I have a feeling we’ll be doing the same with season 2. And this tear-jerker of a show has already been renewed for season 3! Watch this if you’re in the mood for a good cry.

So now that you have a few new shows and movies to add to your queue, go ahead and binge your heart out!
