In the past year here at CGD HQ we have learned how to be super productive and get as much done as we possibly can. If you regularly find yourself staring at the screen and sighing, looking for a way to take a break before you’ve even started, here are some tools you need to increase your productivity.
A planner that suits your needs
There is something magical about writing your plans down in a great planner. Even if you have a record of your upcoming events online already, get them down on paper, because writing them by hand will help you remember them. Decorate your planner with washi tape and photos of things you’re saving up for if you need a little motivation boost.
One of our favourites, Wunderlist is perfect for team projects, holding each other accountable by adding tasks and assigning them to your teammates by a date and a time and sending them notifications and reminders. It’s a great way to stay accountable and could even work for tasks you have to do at home.
Our favourite place to keep all our documents, spreadsheets, presentations and brainstorms. Google Drive lets us all have access to our documents wherever we are, and we can even have access to them offline. Our favourite thing about drive is that we don’t have to worry about saving our documents, we don’t have time for that.
Evernote is great for planning parties, projects and brainstorming in a visual way that doesn’t include tonnes of paper. You can attach images, videos, links and share your files with friends and team members.
SaneBox is your personal assistant when it comes to dealing with emails. It’ll clear your account of those non-essential (nuisance) emails and put them in a SaneLater folder. It learns your preferences and lets you save precious time!
