Having just been made into a popular show in the UK, this book is gaining some serious success, and with good reason. It focuses on Yvonne and how her decision to have an affair with a man whose name she doesn’t even know causes her life to spiral out of her control and ends with a charge of murder. In this novel, a young woman finds herself trying to navigate the crazy web of career, friends, partying, and relationships in New York City. This book is about a pair of orphans who have been in love for as long as they can remember, both born in 1910 their lives are connected by their shared dream of running away together and starting a circus. Separated as teenagers, they descend into the city’s underworld, but when they finally reunite, the circus of their childhood dreams might actually come to life! It’s a truly magical book!
