7 Habits Of The Most Successful Bloggers

These days it seems like everyone wants to have a successful blog, I mean who wouldn’t? You can work from home, write about whatever you want, be your own boss, and if you’re really popular you can earn quite a nice paycheck. Result!

But ask any well-known blogger and they will tell you it took a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and maybe some tears to get to where they are today. Oh yeah, and a bucket load of patience.

Here’s the reasons behind why your favorite blogger is super successful today – their habits- and now your habits too if you’re an aspiring blogger!

#1 They treat their blog like a business

If you hope your blog will one day turn into a business, then treat it like a business from the beginning. Make a strategy and maybe swat up on some marketing tips, like SEO or social media – very important stuff. Set goals, this may start with the number of page views a week you want to hit.

#2 They listen to and engage with their audience

Know your target audience like the back of your hand. That way you know the type of things you should be writing about, what’s going to make them click on that post, and what your readers are going to enjoy reading the most. If they like what they see, then they’ll become your devoted fans and keep coming back for more!

Twitter is also another great way to build relationships with your readers. Make sure you take the time to respond to any Tweets or any comments across any social media platforms.

#3 They post consistently

I’m not saying you should post every day – well you can if you want to- but as long as you have a schedule and post at the same times and same days then your readers will know what to expect. This is a lot easier to do if you plan your content ahead, so take a seat and do some serious brainstorming.

#4 They take their time

It’s all about quality, not quantity. Take your time and make your posts amazing (and free of typos) – your readers only deserve the best of the best!

 #5 They collaborate

Get involved with other bloggers that are similar to you, offer to do some guest posts, or you can do some interviews with them.

This is a good way to grow your audience, it’s basically free advertising and a brilliant way to liaise with useful contacts. Yep, it’s all about the collabs.

#6 They know the importance of self-care

At the end of the day, if your blog is a business, you need to work business hours. You need to set a time to switch off and spend time with friends and family. Work/life balance is extremely important, you don’t want to face a major burnout, and you definitely don’t want to end up not enjoying it anymore.

#7 They are persistent

As I said earlier, ask any successful blogger and they will tell you it took a lot of blood, sweat and tears etc etc…. Things don’t just magically happen overnight.

Successful blogger Daisie Smith told us: “Never give up. I never started my YouTube channel expecting instant success – it’s two years on, and I’m still working as hard as ever to grow it.”
