7 Things You Need To Write In Your Planner This Year

While there are many apps that help you organize your life, nothing beats the feel of writing down your tasks, goals, and notes on pen and paper.

In order to get organized, you need to have a strategy. You need to know what to write down and why. It’s time to grab a gorgeous planner and get started with hustling for the year. Here are seven things you should include in your planner:

#1 Important dates

Most planners have a calendar or a section dedicated to writing important dates like birthdays, anniversaries or the expiration date of your important documents. It allows you to see your important dates at a glance or a month ahead so that you have ample time to plan for the things you’ll need to do for these important dates. This is also a great way to work your budget around occasions like birthdays and anniversaries.

#2 Goals and daily challenges

Always write your goals in your planner. This allows you to review them each week to track your progress while also serving as a reminder for the things you want to accomplish so that you’ll remain focused.

You can also set yourself daily or weekly challenges at the beginning of your planner and see how far you get with them. This is a good way to chip away at a looming goal.

#3 Budgets

Another important thing that you’ll need to include is your budget. It’s essential to know how much money you’ve got to play with when you’re scheduling meetings or dinner dates so that you can set a limit to how much you will spend on each appointment.

This can really help you save money, as well as the stress that comes with handling your finances.

#4 Health appointments

Sometimes, doctor appointments can be scheduled 3-6 months in advance. Instead of relying on your brain to remember everything, write them down in your planner as soon as you’ve set them.

This way, you can remind yourself and when the appointment comes up, you’ll never miss it!

#5 Ideas

Great ideas can sometimes happen when you’re commuting to work or having your mid-day coffee break. Writing these ideas down in your planner will help you remember them, as well as to motivate you to get started on them.

#6 Phone numbers

You probably already have them in your smart phone but if you ever get a new phone or if it gets lost/stolen, you’ll need these numbers. Even if you do have them in cloud storage, it’s still great to have a backup of phone numbers and addresses in print. Even if you only write the most important ones down and leave the contacts from 7 years ago in your phone, we won’t judge.

#7 Motivational quotes

Finally, decorate your planner with inspiring quotes! Nothing beats motivation like writing down quotes that resonate with you and that you can remind yourself every day of Whether it’s right at the front page or a quote a week, write them down and review them when you’re need of some motivation!
