7 Ways To Spend Your Lazy Sunday

One of our best posts ever! Now on careergirldaily.com: 10 Truths About Dating A Career Girl #careergirldaily #dating #career #girlboss

As we Career Girls work really hard all week long and most of the time on weekends as well. Sometimes a lazy Sunday is essential. Here are a few ways how you can get the most energy out of your relaxing Sunday.

#1 – Go for a run

Nothing is better to clear your mind than to go on a run. Running truly clears your mind and works wonders on how you feel. Studies have shown that running beats stress and improves your outlook on life as well as making you feel healthy, if you are a beginner start with 4 minutes of walking and 30 seconds of running and gradually increase your running time over weeks.

#2 – Catch up on your favorite TV show

What is better than waking up on a Sunday morning knowing you can stay in bed and watch Kim go nuts over the weirdest things on ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’. Check out our list of the best TV shows for career girls to catch up on in 2015.

#3 – Catch up on your social life

With all the work we do all week long, we often forget to actually take time to meet and go out with our friends. So Sunday is the perfect day to take your bests out for lunch again, take a break from the online world and arrange a catch up with your favourite friends for brunch and a good giggle.

#4 – Family time

Make sure to keep in touch with your family at all time. But a lazy Sunday is the perfect time to actually take a drive to your parents house and have some quality time with them. Maybe cook a dinner together and tell them what you have been up to lately. Parents always care what their children are up to and keeping your family in the loop will help you take a break from the demands of your everyday life.

#5 – Nails

On Sundays we finally have time to do our nails. Chipped nail polish or broken nails often are taken as sign of bad hygiene even though it’s really more of a sign of bad time management. So take your Sunday time to do them. If you take the right top coats they’ll last up to Thursday. That way you just have to do them twice a week!

#6 – Magazines

Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar the list is endless. And we all love them. These magazines are the foundation of fashion. It’s hard to find time throughout the week so your Sunday is the perfect time to get inspired by your favourite magazines, if you don’t have the time to pick them up why not browse the digital racks of the Apple Newsstand or download the Zinio app, that way you don’t even have to leave the house to browse your fave mags!

#7 – Precook

If you have some extra time you can pre make your food for the next week. Actually having your food ready for the week will make you more unlikely to binge on random unhealthy foods. Win-win situation! If you need some tips, why not check out our list of easy meals for career girls!
