The Amazing Video That’s Empowering A Generation

I can’t be the only one that held out hopes of The Spice Girls reuniting this summer? They remind me of my childhood, bad clothing decisions and losing my first tooth while chewing The Spice Girls bubblegum. Some days were a Baby Spice kinda day, others were a Sporty Spice or Scary Spice day. I could be whatever I want. I could have a belly button piercing (and I did when I was 16) and I could kick a football around a pitch with the boys, too.

So when I saw this video I got chills. The charity Project Everyone have done the impossible. They have made a Spice Girls video better. They have improved upon a masterpiece!

The idea behind this video is to raise awareness of the causes that women really want to create conversation about. What do we really really want? What do we wish we could end. Violence against women? Free education for girls everywhere?

According to Project Everyone:

“2016 is our chance to use our collective power and tell world leaders what we really really want for girls and women. If you make the noise, we’ll get your message to world leaders at the UN in September. The Global Goals will only ever be achieved if governments, businesses, communities and YOU invest in girls and women.”

Even our hero Posh Spice had something to say about it, “How fabulous it is that after 20 years, the legacy of the Spice Girls’ ‘Girl Power’ is being used to encourage and empower a whole new generation.”

This video makes you think about all the things we take for granted. How can you resist taking action with an anthem like this? Check out for more info.
