At home beauty remedies that are good enough to eat!

We’re going on a bit of a natural blitz this week, we’re boosted on supplements and blitzing with organic products, so why don’t we round it off with a lovely list of at home natural beauty remedies. All it takes is a quick reach into the cupboard and you can whip up some amazing beauty remedies that are good enough to eat, so check out our favourite delicious skin treating remedies.

#1 Strawberry and honey antibacterial face mask
Honey has great antibacterial properties and can be used to reduce acne while strawberries absorb oil and soothe blemishes. Cut some strawberries in half and crush with a spoon then add a tablespoon of honey as required. The best thing about this is that you can eat it as you go.

#2 Smooth and silky avocado hair mask
There’s nothing better than an avocado hair mask, it’ll leave your hair silky smooth and in a better condition than ever. All you need is an Avocado, two tablespoons of olive oil and a couple of squirts of juice from a lemon. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, smooth into your hair like a regular hair mask, wait for fifteen minutes and rinse off. Follow up with your normal shampoo to eliminate the olive oil from your roots.

#3 Rich and creamy banana and yoghurt moisturiser
As well as being delicious, natural yoghurt cools and heals skin and tightens pores, while banana is packed with antioxidants and potassium which are great for cleansing the skin and reducing dryness. Blend a banana and half a pot of natural yoghurt together into a smooth consistency, add a tablespoon of honey and apply to a freshly washed face once every two weeks.

#4 Green tea soothing eye bags
If you’re looking for a way to remove the effects of a busy and stressful week, green tea is for you. Green tea has anti-inflammatory properties and can slow down the signs of aging, as well as being soothing for your tired eyes. Boil your green tea bags as normal and then put the mug in the fridge until your teabags are actually cool, squeeze out the excess liquid then apply to your eyes like you would slices of cucumber, once you’re done drink your cool green tea for an added inner boost.

#5 Gentle blueberry face scrub
To make this scrub, you’ll need 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of honey and
a generous handful of blueberries. Blitz the ingredients in a bowl and apply to your face and neck in small circular movements. Then gently remove with a warm cloth for beautifully buffed skin!
