Sunday is a bittersweet day. On one hand, it’s the day that you can get the most me-time, pamper, relax and plan for the coming week. On the other hand, they do say that Monday morning begins on Sunday evening.
Instead of leaving everything until the last minute and panicking when you realize you haven’t done everything you should have, here’s how to make the most of your Sunday and hop, skip and jump into Monday morning with a smile on your face!
Boost your breakfast
After a weekend of overindulgence, use your Sunday to get back on track. Start your day right with a healthy breakfast, think smoothie bowls, eggs or avocado toast.
I like my smoothies to really pack a punch so I add in a superfood powder to boost the benefits. Hum Nutrition’s Raw Beauty Green Superfood Powder contains a blend of green superfoods including Spirulina and Chlorella, beauty boosting Acai and Matcha and Ginseng and Licorice to aid energy levels and relaxation.
Preparation is key
Plan your lunches or outfits for the week ahead, or write a to do list for the week. It’s far easier to switch off when you know the important things are taken care of. If you leave it until the evening, you’ll end up stressing yourself out and sacrificing sleep in order to get it done.
If you’re constantly juggling multiple tasks, Google Now could change the way you prepare for the week – it acts as your very own personal assistant.
Care for your skin
I’ve made applying a face mask a Sunday evening ritual, they can be a struggle to fit in mid week. Take a look at the condition of your skin and use a mask to fit your needs.
GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD replenishes moisture in dull, dehydrated skin while the Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay Mask is a great all rounder, promising to lift, smooth, brighten and tighten!
Get your bath on
The bath is the ultimate relaxing location and the addition of scented oils can really help you unwind. Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Bath and Shower Oil combines vetiver, chamomile and sandalwood to turn your bathroom into your own personal spa.
…and relax!
Finally, spend the last few hours of your Sunday completely switching off watching your favorite TV series (OITNB season 4 is my current binge watching option).
Limit access to your phone, emails or anything that could stress you out. After all, that’s what Monday is for!
Stretch yourself to sleep
Despite any strenuous exercise being off limits according to the rules of Sundays, some light yoga and stretching can help you drift off into a deeper sleep – you don’t even need to move from your bed! This 12 minute routine will have you feeling zen in no time and could help to combat back pain or insomnia.

Sundays are probably my favourite days overall. I try to take care of all my chores on Saturdays, so the next day can be about relaxation only. Baths definitely included!

Love this :) I enjoy Sundays; the Monday dread can be tough, but if you get all the chores & weekday prep out the way, Sunday can be a real pamper day!
Life inside the Locket
Sunday evenings have become so sacred to me the past few weeks. I love spending the evening relaxing with my favorite show, or taking a warm bath or cooking a meal =o)
