1. FIND YOUR DREAM JOB
You have your dream job, but you’re too scared to apply for it. Why? Because you don’t think you have the relevant experience needed for them to take you on. And that may be true, but why does it stop you from trying?

2. INCREASE YOUR CONFIDENCE
This is something we’ve all struggled with from time to time. And standing up and asking the difficult questions are not only awkward but uncomfortable. But all you have to do is change the way you feel about these discussions.
You’re an adult, and adults have these conversations every day. Because when it comes to business you have to look after your own interests too.
But how can you ask for something when you don’t even realize your own worth. Your boss will pay you based on what they think you are worth, so why not show them that you’re worth more? Watch the full video here.
3. BE CONFIDENT IF YOU’RE AN INTROVERT
You may think that you need to be outgoing, loud and social to survive and be heard. And we’ve been taught over the years that being an introvert isn’t necessarily a good thing.
Sometimes, it is best described as someone who is a little bit of a social recluse, but that’s not true at all.
4. BE MORE PRODUCTIVE
How many times a day do you pick up your phone, check your notifications and end up getting distracted from the tasks at hand? Yep, this is one of the best TED talks to learn from for our generation.
Writing this article, I’ve been distracted by my phone three times now. And it’s interesting to understand the psychology behind this and how we can fix it.
But in order to be at your most productive and power through your tasks, you need to focus and spend your time not procrastinating. And whilst this may seem easier said than done, try these tips to best avoid it. Check out the full talk here.
5. NEVER GIVE UP
It’s ok to be reminded of the why. Because sometimes, we lose sight of it. And that’s ok – as long as you get back on track and stand by your choices to go after your dreams.
You have to believe that everything happens for a reason. Even at the time when something doesn’t feel so positive, it could be in fact a blessing in disguise. Take Steve Jobs dropping out of college, for example, he would never have founded Apple.
Sometimes you don’t have to follow the carefully selected path of others, sometimes you have to find your own. But that doesn’t come without its hard work, which you certainly can do! Watch the full talk here.
6. LEARN TO STRATEGIZE
Want to know why and how the big giants like Amazon, Apple, Google and Facebook rule the market?
Scott will show you how these companies have grown so influential that we use them numerous times a day without even thinking. And this is one of the best TED talks to learn from if you’re an entrepreneur.
So, if you love statistics and learning how other brands made it BIG then act like a magpie and steal some ideas for yourself! See the full talk here.

This is one of the best TED talks to learn from if you struggle to ask for what you’re worth. Do you work hard day in and day out, are you performance evals perfect and does your boss love you? If you answered yes to all of these but still find yourself stuck in middle management then there’s a problem somewhere.
And Sheryl looks into why that it is. It doesn’t necessarily mean your office is unequal and sexist, but there may be more you can do…
