So, there’s yet another trend on Instagram – and you may have heard of or even had Green Matcha before, but this time it’s Blue Matcha that’s stealing the spotlight and gathering a lot of attention. And as you can imagine, our Pinterest feeds are filling up with blue smoothies, lattes, and porridge bowls. But, we only have one question; what is Blue Matcha?
Ok, so it’s all natural, all organic and very nutritional. It’s basically a tea powder that you can mix into whatever. It tastes quite mild, similar to green tea but a little sweeter. And you haven’t even heard the best part! Blue Matcha contains anti-oxidants, which in brief really promotes better cell health that will protect you from cancer and other diseases (plus it’s supposed to be really good for fighting off signs of aging).
Blue Matcha vs Green Matcha… What’s better?
It turns out the two are very different – despite sharing the same name. The difference is the level of anti-oxidants that are packed into the powder. Green Matcha is in fact, much better for you if you are striving for ultimate nutrition. It has more anti-oxidants than ten cups of tea (that’s a lot of tea). So, if you’re looking for hardcore health benefits then stick to Green Matcha, but if you want to spice up your Instagrams and still do something great for your body then give these recipes a go:
