Career Girl’s Guide to the best hotels, shops and restaurants in Milan

What to do in Milan? The first thing you should visit in Milan is of course Duomo. It’s the third largest church in world !And of course you go shopping, because hello you are in Milan ! And of course you eat pizza or pasta, but there is more. Much more!

#1 Visit Duomo
The first thing you should visit in Milan is of course Duomo. It’s the third largest church in world! The Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) is the the main attraction you’ll find in Milano, even if you´re not a religious person. It´s quite overwhelming. Located at Milan main square, it´s a must see.

#2 Museo del Novecento
The Museo del Novecento is a brilliant gallery dedicated to 20th- century art – it’s also slap bang in front of Milan’s other must-see, the Duomo.

#3 -Shop till you drop @ 10 Corso Como
In a fashion capital like Milan you’re obliged to go shopping! What better place to go to then 10 Corso Como.  You’ll find a collection of the finest shops, you can also enjoy lunch and enjoy happy hours until late into the night ! Owned by former Vogue Italia editor Carla Sozzani, its interiors feature swirling, organic furnishings and monochrome abstract patterns that add up to a magical take on fashion land.

#4 – Dress up and visit the Armani Hotel
The roped-off crowd, huge, but gorgeous, intimidating security guards, the lovely hostess with the guest list.  I love the Armani Hotel Bamboo Bar it has become my favourite place to go when in Milan.

#5 –  Have a coffee @ Caffè Cova
If you go to Milan and will walk around the famous boutiques area you will have to stop on the corner of Via Montenapoleone with San Andrea at the elegant Caffe Cova, a very old and historic place in Milan, to have a traditional Italian coffee. It serves the most unreal coffee. It’s a bit psychotic in there but worth it.

#6 – Shop some vintage @ Cavalli E Nastri
It’s the vintage shop in Milan. Although the street is home to many of the city’s biggest luxury flagship stores, I always make time to visit this inspiring little boutique when I’m on Via Brera. There’s nothing of musty thrift shops here – everything is in pristine condition and it’s like taking a journey into the past; expect crisp Hermes silk shirts, spectacular YSL maxi-skirts and Chanel’s signature monochrome jewellery. It’s all beautifully arranged and laid out, and the owner is lovely – if she likes you (and depending on her mood), she’ll give you a big discount.

#7- Hang with the Fash pack @ H Club
The H Club at the Diana Majestic Hotel during fashion week is where the fash pack go to sip martinis and look, well, fabulous, darling

Are you ready for a trip to Milan?
