When it comes to our summer beauty routine, we want gorgeous results, and we want them fast! I’m always looking for tips and tricks ‘to get glowy skin’. I think my skin is pretty good to begin with, but I always admire the girls who can really nail the ‘no make up look’. The first step is obviously a dedicated skincare routine. Nothing too complicated and NEVER skip it. There are times when our skin looks anything but perfect and we can use a little help. Flawless skin can be created and here’s how.
3 Steps To Flawless Skin
CLEANSE: NEVER leave your make-up on overnight. I remove my makeup with a micellar water. My favourites are Bioderma and Perricone. It’s not a toner. It’s not a cleansing milk. It’s definitely not a face wash. Micellar water is a skin care product that removes makeup and cleanses your skin, without the need for rinsing. Micellar waters have been widely available in French pharmacies for many years. I love how gentle it is. Next I’ll use my favourite face wash. I use Philosophy’s face wash to remove any traces of make-up.
EXFOLIATE: This is the key to smooth skin. I wish I could do this step every day as I really love the results. When I feel my skin needs a good scrub I prefer a grainy formula or a peel. Philosophy’s Microdelivery Peel is the best!
MOISTURIZE: Personally I believe in less is more. When I was younger I used to buy a lot of beauty products. I’m still a beauty lover, but I know what works for my skin and what not. We’ve said it over and over again. But drinking a lot of water is key to glowy and healthy looking skin. I’m currently using The Body Shop’s new Glow Boosting Moisturizer. It contains Vitamin C and is supposed to help grumpy, dull, fatigued-looking skin. I love a good facial oil. My all time favourite is Rosehip oil. At night, I apply a few drops before going to bed for soft and glowing skin next morning.
