Last week, the CGD team had the pleasure to visit Barcelona for 7 full days! And boy did we have fun in this amazing city! We’re sure lots of you will be visiting or planning a visit to this beautiful city, so we’ve created a guide to all the places we absolutely loved!
#1 EL PALAUET – Passeig De Gracia
Hands down the best luxury place to stay in Barcelona! We were amazed by the wonderful staff and our suite was amazing! With a beautiful living room, a fully equipped kitchen, showers with light therapy, Aveda toiletries and a view overlooking the Passeig de Grazia, this location is perfect when you’re looking for luxury and love to relax after shopping in the city.
Waking up overlooking a clear blue sky in a Jacuzzi was one the highlights of our stay. The staff were wonderful and call you to ask when you would like to have breakfast, when you would like the cleaners to come, and if there is anything you need.
#2 Brunch & Cake
While we were walking to the nail salon we booked via Treatwell for a manicure, we stumbled upon this cool brunch spot which seems to be extremely popular in Barcelona. There were queues every time we went there, but it’s absolutely worth it. I mean the photos speak for themselves.
#3 Teresa’s Juicery
If you’re like us and like a fresh juice to start your day, make sure to visit Teresa’s Juicery in El Born. It’s juicing heaven. El born is actually one of the hottest neighbourhoods in Barcelona so definitely worth a visit and is very close to the Picasso museum.
#4 Rent A Bike
We decided to rent a bike and crisscrossed through the city. We rented electric bikes at our hotel and went from the Parc de Montjuic all the way to Parc Guell.
#5 Fish at Marina Bay
If you’re looking for a great fish restaurant visit Fish at Marina Bay. The staff are just lovely and the food is amazing. Plus you have an amazing view over the sea.
#6 Sushi at Nomo
If you like sushi like the CGD girls make sure to visit Nomo. We went there twice! Make sure to order the scallops as a starter and cava! Also, get there early as it’s always busy.
#7 Don’t forget the tapas
When you’re in Barcelona you’ve got to have tapas. We visited Set de Born which is a very popular tapas place in Barcelona and full of locals (always a good thing!). Another great place is Champagneria where you have champagne for 1 euro and amazing tapas. Make sure to be on time though because it’s always packed! But the tapas are worth it trust us!
#8 Visit Parc Del Guinardo when you want a great view without the crowd
On one of our last days, we decided to visit Parc Del Guinardo. One of the highlights of our stay. Make sure to be prepared for a walk. As the CGD girls cleverly decided to go there in Gucci shoes and sandals! Don’t make our mistake. Put on your favorite walking shoes and comfortable clothing because you’ll be walking all the way up and make sure to bring a bottle of wine, something to snack or drink and enjoy the amazing view of Barcelona in peace.
TIP.
When you decide to visit tourist spots like Parc Guell or the Sagrada Familia make sure to book your ticket online in advance. Usually, all the spots are already sold because it’s so busy. Also, try to go as early as possible so you don’t have to stand in line when you want to take a selfie.

Barcelona is one of my fave cities. I was there for a week last year for a wedding and discovered some amazing places. Here is my post: https://bit.ly/1XUtkoo – funnily enough it also features Brunch & Cake :)

Casa Mila, or la Pedrera, is one of Gaudi’s masterpieces. In summer, there are jazz concerts on the roof, among the iconic chimneys. Not to be missed!!! You get architecture, music, cava, views and a sunset all in one!
I, too, went to Barcelona back in Feb for full 7 days and loved every minute of it. I stayed at Hotel Arts Ritz-Carlton to be away from the crowd, watched some of the most amazing sunrise over the ocean, walked the marina at sunset–but also visited La Hambra and Boqueria. Can’t wait to back already!! Check out my video on YouTube!
