At this time of year, all you want to do is snuggle up in bed and enjoy the time off work. Even after Christmas, it’s a great idea to make your bedroom more cozy, so when you start work and fitness goals in January, you’re prepared for anything and can cuddle up inside your beautiful cozy bedroom. With that in mind, we’ve got some ideas on how to upgrade your bedroom and make it your favorite place in the house with some great cozy bedroom ideas!

Too many cushions can smother your bed, and make it look cluttered and uninviting. As you can see in this photo it’s all about offsetting two different types of cushion will make your bed look so inviting. Designers recommend not overshadowing your decor with cushions, but if you’re like me, you can’t help collecting them!

Target has a great range of cushions that aren’t that expensive (so you can buy them in pairs!). Remember to decorate your bed with symmetry in mind and start with these beautiful fluffy Faux Fur Cushions!

2. Make sure your bedding compliments your room

It’s tempting to invest in beautiful bedding without thinking about whether it goes well in your bedroom, and we all know the struggle of your favorite bedspread being in the wash. At the moment, we’re in a white room with red bedsheets.

It just doesn’t go. Urban Outfitters Crinkle Cut Duvet Cover is available in three colors, navy, ivory and mauve, it’s comfortable and pretty so will go with any wall color.

3. Avoid heavy patterns

This pretty bedroom uses some genius wallpaper to create a minimalistic backdrop for the patterned bedspread, you’ll notice that each cushion, duvet, pillow and throw has a geometric theme in contrasting colors of black, pink, gray, and white.

This brings the bed together. In my bed, currently, I have a collection of cushions that just don’t go with each other. Pick up a beautiful Color Block Cushion from H&M Home and offset it with this geometric throw in a similar color from Spring.

4. Try some neon lights

Neon lights aren’t as inaccessible as you think, yes they require a bit of investment but they will lift a room and add instant cool factor, plus they’re long lasting and can be added to any room. Nordstrom has a range of neon lights right now, they might have a bit of a price tag but this Love Neon Light would look absolutely amazing on any bedroom wall.

If you want something a little more understated, Urban Outfitters has a Neon Light Heart Lamp you’ll fall in love with.

Embrace a bit of minimalism in your bedroom, and it’s not all about white walls, you can make this work whatever the color of your room. It’s kind of about removing TVs, laptops, and extra clutter and focusing on the things that bring you joy. A Cinema LED Light Box allows you to change the vibe of your room every day!
