Creating your ultimate to-do list shouldn’t be hard, but busy girls can easily get buried underneath lists, calendars and app reminders which makes crossing anything off your to-do list impossible! The best way to get the most out of your week is to know what you want to achieve before you get buried in tasks and demands, so here’s our guide to starting the week right, creating the ultimate to-do list and actually getting things done!

#1 Identify your tasks
The weekend before, identify what tasks you want to complete the following week. Choose a small number of achievable goals and set a limit for your week, if anything else piles up don’t add to your list, simply put the tasks aside for another time.
#2 Choose one platform
Spreading your list across different mediums can make life harder for you, if you’re a visual person decide whether you want a to-do list to adhere to your wall or whether you’d be happier with a beautifully created app. I use a beautiful free to-do list created by Leslie of See, Love, Covet as it’s minimalistic and allows me to only put the daily essentials on my list combined with Sunrise because the calendar reminders act as alerts to tell me what I should be doing.
#3 Use a reward system
The best way to keep yourself on track is to give yourself a reward whenever you complete a set of tasks. If you’ve got a big project coming up reward yourself for tackling parts of it, whether you let yourself have a bar of chocolate or buy yourself a new pair of shoes, the reward system will work to keep you motivated.
#4 Don’t drown in tasks
Re-evaluate your tasks mid-week to make sure that what you’ve put on your plate for the week is essential and check whether you could swap some things out, make sure that some of the things on your to-do list are light hearted and help you lead a better lifestyle to avoid getting buried in business tasks. Maybe put a book to read on your to-do list, or a challenge to complete, such as no meat week. These little things will help you lead a healthier and more productive lifestyle in the long-run.
A little planning ahead can go a long way, and help you make time for the things that really matter! What do you use to help you cross things off your to-do list? Let us know in the comments below!
