I love Brussels Sprouts. Love them. But lots of people don’t. One of the biggest reasons is that most people haven’t had them prepared correctly. Well, it’s time to change that. If you have tasted these little babies and hated them, give this recipe a try. To kick them up a notch, you can even sprinkle a little grated Parmesan cheese over them. Enjoy!
ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH BACON, MUSHROOM & PECANS
INGREDIENTS
– 2 lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut into halves
– Mushrooms chopped
– 2 cloves garlic sliced
– 1 cup chopped pecans
– 1 onion chopped
– Bacon
– Salt
– Pepper
Step 1:
Clean the Brussel sprouts and cut them in half. Blanch them for 4 minutes then drain and refresh in cold running water.
Step 2:
In a large skillet, cook bacon until evenly browned. Add the onions and cook.
Step 3:
Add the chopped mushrooms, garlic and the halves Brussel sprouts and pan fry.
Step 4: Add salt/pepper to taste and some chopped pecans.
