Barcelona is always a good idea! Sun, sea, shopping, a beach and amazing food, this must-visit city literally has it all!
We LOVE traveling, so decided to randomly book a trip to Spain and enjoy the sun instead of staying in rainy London! We picked Barcelona and stayed at El Palauet, located in Passeig de Grazia, which is for sure the best hotel to stay in Barcelona. The moment we walked into our suite we felt like spoiled, little princesses, wanted to run around and jump on the beds because this hotel is simply everything you need if you are looking for a luxurious stay in this Spanish city.
It is the perfect hotel for a girls weekend, a hen party, double date weekend or basically any type of getaway that needs to involve luxury. The second we walked in we even got allocated a Personal Assistant who helped us with everything we wanted and needed.
Waking up in this hotel was an absolute dream! Both rooms have cute French balconies, so as soon as we woke up, we stared at the beautiful ceilings for a minute, opened the doors and enjoyed the view of Passeig de Grazia with our freshly squeezed orange juice or Nespresso.
Every morning we got a call from ”our” PA, to ask if we wanted breakfast, if we needed anything that day and when we wanted house keeping to come in. The hotel only has 6 suites, so there isn’t anything like an arranged breakfast buffet, but they could basically arrange any type of breakfast you could wish for in the comfort of your suite.
During the day we turned the living room into our CGD HQ. The whole suite has super fast internet and an all-round sound system, so just like at our office in London we put on our favorite Spotify Playlist, danced around (Ok! we don’t normally do that!), worked hard and felt right at home. If we could have this suite as an office in London that would be the absolute dream, because this living room is serious #OfficeGoals!
With 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, a beautiful spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen with full wine bar (yes, obviously one of our favorite spots in the suite!), showers with light therapy, Aveda toiletries, 4 TV’s, a jacuzzi and spa on the rooftop, there is almost no need to leave this hotel. We absolutely loved coming ”home” to this hotel after a long day of sightseeing in Barcelona and really wished we could stay longer when we had to leave.
Our personal favorite was the Japanese toilet in both bathrooms! Seat warming, bidets and deodorization are just a few key features that made our toilets visit extra pleasant (I have to admit, I did not want to leave that heated seat!).
The hotel has a rooftop exclusively for the guests as well. On Wednesday night we went to their only night open to the public, where only those with an exclusive invitation can enter and we enjoyed some amazing Mojitos. On the rooftop you’ll find the spa and jacuzzi, where you could find us in the morning waking up with a view.
One day we will return back to this amazing hotel! And if you ever find yourself in need of a holiday-stay in Barcelona, think of El Palauet, you simply won’t regret it.
