Fall Trend Alert: How To Wear Bold Prints

As a self-confessed boring outfit wearer, I tend to shy away from wearing bold prints. However as fall approaches and darker, more dull colours come into play, outfits tend to get a little boring and need spicing up. This is where prints come in! We’ve selected the three most easy-to-wear prints, the best ways to wear them and our favourite products so you can get the look! Whether you’re a print fanatic or ordinarily a print-free kind of girl, these products are perfect for spicing up your fall wardrobe.

Leopard Print

Being such a bold print, it’s quite hard to get the leopard print trend right. To nail leopard print for fall, it’s best to take inspiration from someone who gets it spot-on every time, fashion icon Victoria Beckham. She tends to opt for one staple leopard print piece and keep the rest of her outfit pretty neutral with colours like black and tan. To get the look opt for a plain black outfit with one of these feature pieces: Victoria Beckham, ALTUZARRA, Topshop, ASOS, Diane Von Furstenberg.

Snakeskin

Snakeskin is arguably a much easier print to wear because it’s much less bold than most others. This means you can incorporate multiple pieces in one outfit or maybe even mix various prints together without it looking too overpowering. For daywear, opt for snakeskin pumps with jeans and a jumper and for nightwear opt for a snakeskin shirtdress with knee high boots or jeans, a plain top and snakeskin heels. Get the look: ASOS, Topshop, River Island, Net-A-Porter.

Zebra Print

In all honesty, I often try to steer clear of zebra print because it’s so bold and it can sometimes look really tacky. But since seeing it strewn across the A/W15 ready to wear catwalks and sourcing looks online, my opinion has completely changed. A zebra print coat can look so sophisticated, especially when paired with a bright orange accessory. If the looks are a little too daring for you, opt for black and white stripes instead. Get the look: AX Paris, Saint Laurent, ZARA, Topshop, Net-A-Porter.
