Who wants glowing skin all day every day? I know I do, but, unfortunately for those of us who just do not have it in our DNA to look flawless every day, here are a few foods that will clear those blemishes and make you feel fabulous once more.

Drink some green tea or Kombucha.
Drinking green tea is known to fight acne and improve skin due to the high anti-oxidants in rich green tea, if you aren’t a fan – try Kombucha. Kombucha detoxifies, hydrates and improves skin elasticity. You can even find skincare products that contain Kombucha!

Get poached eggs and avocado in the morning!
We love poached eggs on avocado with some sourdough bread in the mornings. It’s not just delicious, but good for your skin too! Avocados are packed with vitamin C and E which helps the skin’s luminosity and also reduces any skin inflammation you may have, while eggs are a great source of protein and they are full of skin clearing selenium (an essential mineral that slows the signs of aging) and provide a source of amino acids which are then used to produce new proteins within the skin cells.

Skin problems? It’s probably water.
We all should be drinking water like it’s our job, add some fruit and lemons into the mix to infuse and make it more flavoursome if you’d prefer. Water helps to flush out toxins and replenishes our cells to prevent clogged up skin cells leading to spots, acne, and inflammation.

Forget processed sugar, natural sugars are great.
I’m talking blueberries, raspberries and strawberries, chuck them on your morning porridge or blitz them up in a refreshing smoothie. Packed with fibre which will fill you up not only as a low carb snack but berries have always been known as skin clearing antioxidants, and they taste amazing so what is the excuse!?

Swap your potatoes – I’m serious!
My new obsession, I switched from regular white starchy potatoes to sweet potatoes and have never looked back. Not only do they taste insane but once digested vitamin A helps the circulating of oxygen to your skin.

Think about foods that are natural or grown from the ground, artificial foods and drinks with tons of sugar will not give you that clear flawless glow we all desire.

You nailed it with this list! Coffee increases your fiber intake so I think it should be on this list as well. I will try to drink more tea though.

I’m definitely going to try the sweet potatoes.
