Five Times We Were Inspired By Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow is known as an A-List Hollywood actress, mother of two, and a health fanatic with flawless style. Although all of these things are to be greatly admired, Gwyneth has also done some miraculous and quite simply awesome stuff. Below we’ve listed five things Paltrow has done that will inspire you!

“GOOP” by GP

Gwyneth Paltrow (referred to as GP by her colleagues) is the founder of the hugely successful lifestyle informative “Goop,” launched in 2008 as a weekly newsletter, which then later developed into a website where readers could “nourish the inner aspect.” GP’s healthy lifestyle initiated the idea for the website, where women could share and exchange travel tips, healthy food recipes and share thoughts and perspectives with friends. Paltrow wanted a forum where she could ask her own questions and share with readers some of the best tips and advice she has experienced from mentors herself over the years. The website is penned “Goop” after her initials and is a resource where people go to “make, go, get, do, be and see.” All in all, the website is a place that brings fresh and new innovative ideas from Gwyneth herself, inspiring us to live life a little differently.

Conscious un-what…?

In March 2014, Gwyneth and her husband of 10 years Chris Martin, lead vocalist of “Coldplay,” announced their separation. However, unlike most Hollywood couples that split, they announced that they would be “consciously uncoupling.” When asked about her odd choice of words about her divorce in a television interview, Paltrow explained that instead of stating her and Martin were just simply “separating,” there was a lot more to it than that. She explained that they were still remaining a family even though their marriage had come to an end – they would still be there to support their children together and they remain great friends. How very admirable Gwyneth, we love you for that.

Cooking For An Audience

Not only is Paltrow a hugely successful actress, she is also the writer of three culinary books, and has co-written a spectacular Spanish themed cookbook with chef Mario Batali. In 2011, she released her first cookbook titled “My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness.” Paltrow has made it widely known that she loves to cook for her family, as she discusses quite often in interviews, and this book clearly showcases her deep family roots and love of cooking. In the same year Paltrow also penned the notes to her book “Notes From The Kitchen Table.” Her third book, “It’s All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good & Feel Great,” was published in 2013 following her first hugely successful book from 2011. Jealous? Us? No, definitely not…

A Good Heart

“The Robin Hood Foundation,” which Gwyneth is a member of, is a charity which works to alleviate poverty and create awareness of poverty in New York. Paltrow is also one of the artist ambassadors for “Save The Children,” which raises awareness for “World Pneumonia Day.” A good hearted woman as well as a chef, celebrated actress and awesome singer. Inspiring simply doesn’t cut it.

It’s Never Too Late To Try Something New

In 2011 Paltrow guest starred as substitute teacher “Holly Holiday” in Season Three of “Glee,” the hugely popular all-singing, all-dancing TV show. In the five episodes which Paltrow features, she sings, dances and acts as a reckless and carefree character that portrays all the elements the TV show is based on – Friendship, passion and determination. In these episodes Paltrow shows us that she can basically do anything at this point in her career – maybe she’ll be doing her own stunts in her next blockbuster?
