We don’t have time for high maintenance hair, this messy hair look takes only a few minutes and looks super chic even 24 hours later!

I often say my hair inspiration is a lion’s mane. It probably sounds weird but I don’t really brush my hair and I have hundreds of products for crazy messy hair – I prefer it to be super messy and ruffled. I’ve always had messy hair, and I think a great messy wave look is just so effortless and cool! From beachy waves to rough messy curls – here’s how to get perfect messy hair in just 20 minutes!

Start with a product. It’s not always necessary to use a heat protecting spray as a lot of products these days have it built in, try Kérastase Discipline Fluidissime spray for shine, suppleness and heat protection. Divide your hair into sections and use a curler to create soft curls. Don’t be too precise and take rough sections, but be sure to tease every section with a comb and use a great lightweight hair spray that allows movement like Bumble & Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish spray the wilder and bigger the better!

For a more messy look use a sea salt spray or my personal favorite texturing spray Amika Bombshell Blowout Spray. The messier, the better, as it will hold for longer – even when you sleep on it.
