Get Your Best Skin Ever With This 7 Day Detox

We all have our routines, potions and primers lined up around the sink or bathtub that we lather ourselves in, but maybe it’s time to simplify our skincare regime and get our best skin ever! If your skin is tired, dry or you’re prone to outbreaks it’s time to try being beautiful from the inside out. Being mindful of what you eat and drink as well as giving yourself some me-time to treat your skin will help you get glowing skin in just seven days!

Eat and Drink:
+ Start your morning off right with water infused with lemon slices.
+ Avoid caffeine, sugar, cigarettes and alcohol (although hard if you can do it for 7 days you might be able to do it for longer!)
+ Make sure you get 8 glasses of water a day!
+ Be mindful of what you’re eating, fresh fruit, vegetables, lean meats, nuts and seeds are great for your body and skin.

Exercise:
+ Aim to do one hour a day of some activity that leaves you out of breath, exercise increases circulation and helps to remove toxins from your body.

Skincare:
+ Splash cold water on your skin in the mornings to wake you up and help shrink your pores.
+ Continue your preferred skincare regime but make sure you feed your skin and give it enough hydration.
+ Use a body brush or loofah to stimulate blood flow and remove dead skin from your body whenever you wash.
+ Use an intense mask to target your skin problems once during your seven day detox, for an inexpensive, organic mask you can make at home check out our article on beauty remedies that are good enough (and safe) to eat.
+ Try and go without makeup at least two days during the detox, get some fresh air onto your bare skin for a lovely little boost.
+ As the weather is getting warmer make sure you use a good sun cream as a base to your skin whenever you go outside!

If you follow the plan and put only tasty, amazing things into your body, your skin should reward you! A great organic mask once a week goes a long way, and if you can make these lifestyle choices for longer than seven days, well go you!
