On vacation, I enjoyed too much food, water balloon fights, too many rum and cokes and basking in the glorious 30°C (86°F) heat. When I came back, London was overcast, the smattering of freckles on my nose started to fade and my skin started to dry out again. Horror! I was going back to my pasty self.
I was determined not to let that happen this time, no. This time, I would keep memories of my vacation with me even on those days where getting work done felt like pulling a tooth. So I did my research, and yes – the glow does go on! Here’s how to get that perfect ‘I’m just so relaxed and glowing’ vacation skin.
PROTECT YOUR FACE FROM POLLUTION!
Out in the middle of nowhere in Portalegre, the air was so clean it pretty much burned in my lungs, and my skin was really dewy and smooth. I’m suspecting dry air and pollution are the cause of my dryness, so I’m using REN Flash Defence Anti-pollution Mist.
USE POST-SHAVE BALM FOR PERFECT SKIN.

So we’ve all seen NikkiTutorials love for Nivea Men’s Post Shave Balm. On vacation, I was introduced to it as a makeup primer and I’m sold. Hear me out here, because I was in the camp of, ‘Why would I put this on my skin?’ but I used the sensitive balm with 0% alcohol, and couldn’t stop taking photos of myself all night (not that it takes much, anyway!).
For once, my complexion was even, smooth and my skin felt like a baby’s butt. As someone who struggles with flaky cheeks, this seems to be a great primer solution. I’m getting a 3-pack on Amazon as we speak.
GET SUN DIPPED!

The hotly anticipated Glow Kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills will abso-bloody-lutely give you that holiday glow. You know that dewy, ‘I’ve been in the pool and I’m hardly wearing any makeup’ kinda look. Just me? They even have a palette appropriately named ‘Sun Dipped’. Put a bit of highlighter on the top of your cheeks, under your eyebrows, slightly along your nose and on the cupid’s bow of your lips and voilá – instantly refreshed!
CONTOUR YOUR NOSE

I don’t mean shading either side of your nose to make it look smaller because I’m not entirely sure that’s an office-appropriate look. What I’m talking about is that sun-kissed bronzed look you only get from lying out on a sun-lounger all day. Dab a bit of Sleek Cream Contour across the bridge of your nose and blend it in with your finger or a beauty blender. This is the best way to preserve that summer tan, and don’t worry about it looking silly – if you pat it in, it should look like a natural tan.
GET A GLOTION

A glotion is the hottest thing this season, a lotion that gives you a glow Tatcha Balanced Pore Perfecting Water Gel will do just that. It’s lightweight and dewy and can be used as a base to your everyday foundation to ensure that healthy, hydrated glow stays with you.
