How To Go From A Negative To A Positive Mood In Five Minutes

Sometimes it’s not about a particular day or a bad event, sometimes you’re just in a bad mood. And you can’t shake it off.

We can’t just sit and wait for our moods to change as we are missing perfectly good opportunities to be happy and create memories with people we love. It’s easy to shift our mindset and mood in 5 minutes so don’t sit in sadness for the sake of it. Change it!

Here are a few methods to switch your mood back to a bubbly happy mindset.

1. Force A Smile
Smiling creates endorphins just like exercising that sends messages to your brain to make you happy. Also, forcing a smile for a minute will make you laugh anyway because you’ll look a little crazy, but if it works who cares, follow the ‘fake it until you make it’ motto!

2. Make A List
Write down all the bad things in the day, boss troubles, spilled coffee down your new top or had an embarrassing moment in public? Re-read your troubles and you will find half of them are laughable and should not be controlling your mood!

3. Take A Walk
Walking outside can help clear your head, breathe the fresh crisp air in and you’ll soon feel revitalized. Push all your troubles out into the air and think about all the blessings and positive things happening in your life.

4. Girls Only Night
Get a night out organized with your girls, plan a party playlist, order a new outfit and get the cocktails at the ready. It is so important to appreciate the people who will be by your side through thick and thin. Nothing makes you happier than a carefree night out with the girls, right?

Cook Up A Comfort Treat.
Weather its 100 cupcakes or the cheesiest of cheesy pasta dishes, sometimes all we need to change our mood, is food that makes us smile inside and out. Flick through cookbooks or search for the best cookie recipe on the internet and get going. No guilt just pure happiness.
