I moved from a little city to London a year ago and back then I wasn’t the biggest fan of it. I didn’t get it. The busy bustling city streets, the way you can’t even get your shoulder into a pub on a sunny Friday afternoon, the tube stations, the way everyone walks around with such confidence. But after a while, you fall in love with London.
You begin to find your favorite places, know where to go to avoid the rush and figure out how to apply makeup on the tube. It becomes a comforting place. A city that never sleeps, a city where there’s always something happening if you know where to look. Luckily, we do. Here are just a few of our favorite places in London, so the next time you visit you can feel like a local!

SKETCH

9 conduit street
London W1S 2XG
+44 (0) 20 7659 4500
Website
It’s a requirement to take a selfie in sketch’s super cool alien pod toilets (check our Insta feed for proof!) so if you want to get your very own, book in for afternoon tea or check out the super cool talks and events that are regularly hosted there and book yourself in. Check out our guide to using Snapchat and social media for your business.
COLUMBIA ROAD MARKET

Columbia Rd, London E2 7RG
Website
Another Instagram requirement is a photo on Columbia Road’s charming flower market. From 8am until 3pm the street is transformed into a floral paradise, you can smell the air and hear the chants of the market sellers as you walk along. We recommend getting there early and getting extremely carried away, you’ll never feel more cheerful than when you’re carrying armfuls of flowers. Check out our guide on how to de-stress your home if you need to know the importance of flowers.
For cool cocktails
RADIO BAR LONDON

Radio Rooftop Bar
ME London
336-337 Strand
WC2R 1HA
Website
Radio Bar is a rooftop bar on top of the ME hotel (a cool place to hang out if you need to work in the day in a relaxed environment with a wall plug for charging things) and it’s the place to be if you want to look out over the city and have a cocktail or a bite to eat. Reservations are recommended, although we’ve walked up there a few times and sat looking out over the beautiful city.
BLIND SPOT

45 St. Martin’s Lane, Covent Garden, London, WC2N 4HX
Website
Wow your friends by confidently walking into St. Martin’s Lane hotel and approaching the wall with a hand extending from it. Yep, it’s a secret door that leads to this dark, chic bar. We love this place mainly because of the door, but also because of the atmosphere, comfy chairs, and cocktails.
For a busy bite
HUBBARD & BELL

Hubbard & Bell is the place to be if you want to crack open your Mac and work in style, look around you while you’re in there, everybody’s at it. Also the place for an out of this world breakfast, book a table online – rock up and get my personal fave of poached eggs on toast with a pot of breakfast tea. You can’t be more British than a pot of breakfast tea in the morning.
199-206 High Holborn, London WC1V 7BW. Website
DAYLESFORD ORGANIC CAFE

Organic food is not just ‘in’ it’s delicious too. Daylesford’s menu is always conscientious and so good, spiralized fries are my new favorite thing! I love to come here for meetings, interviews or just a date with my girls. Organic juice and granola are my go-to order in the mornings, plus once you’re done you can nip downstairs and buy all your favorite Daylesford groceries from the shop, I recommend the pre-made organic bolognese sauce, it’s probably the most divine thing I’ve ever cooked with.

For shopping – London style
PORTOBELLO ROAD MARKET
Open from 9am most days, Portobello Road Market always reminds me of that movie with Amanda Bynes where Colin Firth (the prime minister) was her dad. What a Girl Wants! That’s it. One of my favorite movies, might I add. If you want to experience Portobello Road yourself, head over and get shopping! It’s more of an experience than traditional high street stores (although you should check those out too!).
FOUND AND VISION
If you want to bump into Kate Moss while clothes shopping, you should check out Found And Vision vintage clothes store. This could be the place you find a Chanel piece at a price that won’t make you faint. We all know the importance of investment pieces, and you can’t get more exclusive and chic than premium vintage. I love taking my girlfriends here and leaving with our new favorite outfits and accessories.

Sketch is like THE LEAST “hidden spot” in London, ever. EVERYONE is raving about it, especially at the moment. It’s the most popular place to go eat and take photographs. I’m not quite sure why you chose to include it on this list…
Wow! Loving this post, as a regular traveller to London, it’s always nice to have interesting places to visit and see. Thanks for sharing!
