Two Spots Where You Aren’t Applying Concealer But Should

how to apply concealer correctly

Everyone owns a ‘savior’ beauty product for those days when you just can’t even. For me, that’s a concealer. Concealer can make me rockstar ready in minutes even after a ‘bad skin day’. You know where it goes and how to use it by now, the obvious places including under eyes, over blemishes; but you should probably try using concealer in other places, too. It can do miracles!

1. Brighten up your eyes

Putting concealer on the outer corners of your eyes and using a sweeping motion towards your brow bone can give you an instant eye lift to make you feel (and look!) more awake. Perfect for those hangover days!

NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer is one of the best I’ve ever tried. Not only does it cover blemishes, but it also evens skin tone and will make your skin smoother. No other concealer smooths out my skin too, but this one has skincare benefits too! Buy it here.

2. Conceal the redness

After putting your concealer in the obvious places, take the wand and add two lines from the sides of your nose down to your mouth, on your laughter lines! This helps to reduce the discoloration around your nose and mouth that might be making you look blotchy and tired. Try it next time you’re applying your makeup and marvel at the difference!

My other recommendation for an incredible concealer would be this beauty. I love this for a minimalistic look, I can’t believe how incredibly it works. Of course, I’m talking abut Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Concealer. This is perfect for minimal makeup, it blends in like a second skin but covers blemishes perfectly. It won’t sit on your skin and it’s not too heavy for a no-makeup look. Buy it here.

I need to try the Nars one. I’ve been trying a few different concealers and can’t seem to find one that I absolutely love.

Yes to using concealer around your nose- such a strange thing to do at first but it does make a huge difference!

I am over 50y.o. and have marionette lines. What can I do with makeup to make these less noticable?

I love that NARS concealer! It really is amazing at smoothing out the skin and it lasts all day long. It’s not for everyday though so I really want to try that Urban Decay one. Thanks for the tip!
