5 Easy Steps To Make Your Skin Bright And Clear

I am not on speaking terms with my skin right now. It’s always the way, when you have events or you’re going on vacay it starts playing up. Eye roll. I’m not worried though because I have five steps to get my skin back to its former glory and I know it takes less than a week to get glowing skin naturally. So for my friends big engagement party at the weekend or our CGD trip next week I know I’ll be back to my best!

Want to know my secrets? I’m willing to share for the good of skin everywhere.

Step 1: Get your omega fix

Omega Brilliance Supplement available here.

Ok hear me out, I know you want your five step routine to be instantaneous but please trust me. If you want your skin to be brighter in one week, start adding foods that are rich in omegas into your diet. I don’t eat fish so I’m taking an omega supplement every day and I can honestly say my skin is getting so much more hydrated, I know it’s going to be a good base for the products I’m using. I still have to work on the dullness, but giving yourself a bit of an inner boost will help so much when you’re brightening your complexion.

Step 2: Charcoal mask

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask available here.

I have a ‘for emergencies only’ charcoal mask. It’s sitting on my shelf right now waiting. I don’t use it all the time because I’m scared my skin will get used to it, or the magic will wear off. So I save it until my skin gets problematic. Dull, spotty, annoying. I run a bath and use this mask on my face while I soak. It takes 24 hours to see the results, but usually, the spots are gone, my skin is brighter and I thank the magical charcoal mask once again.

Step 3: Scrub-a-dub-dub

FOREO Luna 2 available here.

Once my charcoal mask is washed off, I go straight in with my FOREO. Which, by the way, is my favorite skincare device ever. When I stop using it I see the difference (like now). So I need to not be lazy with my skincare regime. Luckily the FOREO works almost instantly. It’ll remove dead skin and give you a seriously instant glow. With the FOREO Play retailing at $39, anyone can (and should!) invest in one. Your skin will never be the same.

4. Go coco-nuts

Dr Jackson’s Coconut Melt available here.

Alright, so you’ve done your little charcoal, cleanse routine. What’s next? Well I like to add some hydration and softness to my skin. To be honest, the day before an event I step it up a lot by doubling up on my creams, but usually I just use coconut oil before bed. I apply it liberally to my face, brows, and eyelashes and then go to sleep. It works miracles. It’ll soften dry skin and give your skin extra hydration and plumpness. You can also use it on stretchmarks, cellulite, pigmented areas. You basically have to stop me from bathing in it because without it my skin looks dull.

4. A magic massage

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream available here.

You’ve probably noticed I’m only using the best products. This 5 step routine has come from years of testing different beauty products and methods, and I now know how to rescue my skin before an event so I don’t have to worry about any nasty surprises. You probably won’t be surprised that I’m going to say those four magic words now. Charlotte. Tilbury. Magic. Cream.

Seriously, please believe me, it changed my life. I use it on nights where my skin needs extra magical help. It hydrates my skin, blurs spots, and I wake up looking super healthy and glowy. I also do a gankin massage with it an hour or two before the big event to make my face look slimmer and toned. This is the final step and every single time I’ve done this, I’ve managed to recover my skin and get compliments that I look super healthy and clear skinned!
