7 Tips On How To Get Photo-Proof Hands

Your hands say a lot about you. The condition of your hands can indicate your age and how much your care for them. Getting photo-proof hands means maintaining your hands and making sure they are in a healthy condition. Your hands always need to be protected, moisturised and re-hydrated constantly.

Here are some tips on how to get photo-proof hands.

#1 – Wear washing-up gloves.

Constantly immersing your hands in water can dry them out and age them, so always wear washing up gloves when doing the dishes.

#2 – Apply hand cream regularly.

Using hand cream helps to moisturise and soften dry hands and strengthen nails. Use hand cream products with vitamin E and aloe vera as this contains moisturising properties.

#3 – Wash your hands with warm/lukewarm water.

Hot (really warm) water can dry out the hands, so wash your hands with lukewarm water.

#4 – Use olive oil.

Use olive oil (not for food but for the skin.) Over the years collagen and elastin begin to diminish over the years, meaning that wrinkles can start to appear and skin begins to lose its elasticity. To slow down this process, massage your hands with olive oil. It is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids. You can buy olive oil for the skin in a small/medium-sized glass bottle from Boots.

#5 – Exfoliate

Gently rub facial exfoliant scrub on the back of your hands, then wash off. The grainy texture of the exfoliant scrub will scrape away old dead skin cells, and exfoliating improvs blood circulation, making your hands look fresh.

#6 – Step away from the sun!

Sun ages the skin dramatically, so apply sunscreen and don’t spend hours and hours in the sun.

#7 – Take care of your nails too!

Your nails need a lot of care too, so always file your nails, apply a top coat on your nails and use nail repair cream.

Take these tips on board and you will be able to maintain youthful hands for a long time, even for many years to come!

I read this though it’s already a bit too late, I’ve not taken care properly and now at 36 my hands are definitely not photo proof. However I’m focussing on representing for real women, that’s my story and I’m sticking with it.
