Creating a blog is one thing, getting it noticed is another. If you want to take your audience to the next level, it requires a little bit of strategy behind it. It’s all about creating good quality content and posting regularly, then using these strategies to get ahead and be noticed!
Don’t feel overwhelmed, world-changing statistics might not happen over night but if you try these five tips, you might just hit those targets you only dreamed of!
1. Get strategic with social media
Sharing your blog posts on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram is the minimum. You should make sure that you’re sharing the right type of content with your followers and at the right times. Pinterest is a hidden weapon for upgrading blog traffic and becoming popular, so don’t share the same post on every single social media platform. And use scheduling platforms so you don’t go crazy while you’re posting across every social media channel!
2. Research hashtags
Hashtag your posts when sharing them with your followers. If your post is about fashion, a popular hashtag to use is #FBloggers which has been used nearly 2 million times on Instagram. Similar to this, use #bbloggers if your post is related to beauty. You are guaranteed an increase in views.
3. Connect with bloggers
There are a lot of twitter accounts that connect bloggers around the world. It’s easy to get involved and have your blog broadcasted to countries you’ve never imagined it would reach. One of the main accounts on Twitter would be @BloggingGals, they retweet hundreds of accounts a week and sharing them with their large following. To get involved, just follow their account and tag your posts with ‘#BloggingGals’ for a retweet.
4. Make sure your photography speaks to your audience
I love taking photos and scrolling through Instagram. I am instantly attracted to good photography, and if there is a blog post attached to it, I’m more likely to click and read it. Working on taking good photos will benefit your blog in the future, and make it more likely to be shared on Pinterest. I’m not telling you to invest in an expensive camera, but use apps like VSCO cam to brighten up your photos and make them look more attractive. iPhone photography for the win!
5. Be Dedicated
Being a successful and popular blogger isn’t easy. It’s hard work, a lot of hours go into making posts engaging and aesthetically pleasing to their desired audience. Make sure this is a hobby you love and enjoy and people will be attracted to your passion!
