Wondering how to look less tired after a long night? We’ve all had those mornings where we snooze to the last possible moment. There’s no denying that we’re then sleepy at work because we’ve stayed up watching ‘one more episode‘, or exhausted from just trying to juggle it all. We get it, we have long days too, but we know the secrets to cheat that! Being the ultimate Career Girl means balancing it all, so we’ve had to discover all the tips and tricks to help us feel and look less tired!

Stick to ONE cup of coffee

I know this is a difficult one. I know the temptation to guzzle coffee after coffee all too well, especially when I’m tired. But, don’t worry, I’m not trying to separate you and coffee for good! You just shouldn’t drink too much! By drinking too much coffee you will guarantee yourself a headache and a massive caffeine crash in the afternoon. Trust me when I tell you that limiting your caffeine intake will actually help you be more together and focused.

Use a hydrating mist

A hydrating mist is a perfect pick-me-up whilst you’re feeling unenergized at work. They are small, fit in your bag and quick and easy to use. Not only will doing this leave you feeling more awake, it will also keep your skin hydrated with a healthy glow. Try the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with aloe, herbs, and rosewater. Not only will it smell nice, it actually works and… it’s on sale!

Put on the music you dance or work out to

With headphones, of course, you don’t want the office to know about your guilty dance throwback classics! But this is seriously my go-to trick. Blasting the music through my headphones makes me more energetic and more uplifted to tackle the next task. So, ladies avoid your Adele addiction for work, maybe save it for your commute home instead! Put on something that will get your foot tapping and your heartbeat up and trick your pulse into waking up.

Swap the black eyeliner for white

Yes, really. This may seem like a bold move but by using a subtle white eyeliner like this smooth eye pencil that will make those eyes look less tired in the morning! Apply this in the inner rims of the eyelids to give the automatic illusion of looking more awake. Also, this is quicker and way easier than getting that perfect black wing in the morning right?

Drink a glass of water every hour

Ice-cold water is best (did you know it burns calories because your body needs to warm it up to process it too? Bonus!). Have a glass every hour to stay healthy, keep your skin clear and it will also keep you on your feet more. This means you will be having breaks from your desk. And by taking regular breaks you’ll be able to feel more alert and less sleepy!
