When Jennifer Lawrence burst onto the scene with the hunger games, the world was enraptured with her. Here she was this refreshingly honest, hilarious woman who loved pizza and described herself as a little chubby on screen but normal in real life. She introduced us to her parents and seemed to be in high demand on every single film that came out in the following years. But behind the scenes, Jen has worked hard, and quietly to get to where she is. You can see this from the lack of any social media accounts (although we know she’d be hilarious on Twitter), and the way she plays down the roles she gets, never really admitting the hours she works or the strict workouts she endured.
She sets herself goals as often as she can, works out six days a week for three hours sometimes to get in shape for a role, and lends her voice to multiple causes, her face to multiple brand launches, and her sense of humour to cameos in Keeping Up With The Kardashians or hosting TV shows. She’s a delight to watch wherever she goes, with her clumsy charisma giving us some beautiful moments over the years. She’s the girl everyone wants to be friends with.
You’d be surprised because Jen is known for her sense of humor, but she takes her life, her commitments, and her goals insanely seriously. Her daily plan reflects her desire to do her best. Despite the string of famous friends, the glitz and the glamour, Jennifer’s daily plan is a lot of hard work and pretty busy. We put her daily plan in the Win At Life Journal to see just how easy it would be to live life like JLaw.

A SIMPLE MORNING ROUTINE
Jennifer wakes up early on days where she’s got a lot planned. Her life is so busy and each day can be so varied that it’s important she keeps routines and habits as simple as possible to stick to them. She’ll wake up, grab a coffee, brush her teeth, put on some sunscreen and concealer, take her dog (Pippi) for a walk to the park, and go for a morning run or watch the news at home. Keeping it as simple as possible helps her to stay focused, and taking the dog for a walk allows her to get some much needed time outdoors, especially if she has a busy day on set for hours.
When she’s got an important role coming up, she’ll alternate running in the morning with pilates, or short regular bursts of HIIT using her bodyweight instead of equipment to train. She might head off to another workout after her run in the morning, or she’ll do a workout later in the day. “…it’s nice being in shape for a movie because they basically do it all for you. It’s like, ‘Here’s your trainer. This is what you can eat’. I don’t diet. I do exercise! But I don’t diet. You can’t work when you’re hungry, you know?” She told Glamour.

WORKING HARD
“I hate waking up without a goal or going to sleep without achieving anything.” Jennifer Lawrence has said. Whether she’s on set filming, rehearsing scripts, or shooting, she makes sure that every day is busy. “I try to keep working so people can see other characters and other things I can do instead of taking vacation time, and now I’m aging like a president,” she once said.
No matter what she’s up to, Jennifer will try to stay healthy on the go; she’ll have full-fat Greek yogurt, dark chocolate, hummus, and vegetables in the fridge when she’s on set, for example. Jennifer makes sure she’s always busy and working and knows she’s blessed to be in the position she’s in. We can learn from her to reflect on what we’ve achieved every night and wake up with a new goal every morning.

SOCIAL TIME
Jen likes to spend time with her friends and family after work. She’s notoriously close with Kris Jenner and is often papped out on dinner dates with her fiance. While she’s schtum about who she hangs out with and what she does, it’s super important to her to fill up her social bar. “No matter how tired I am, I get dinner at least once a week with my girlfriends. Or have a sleepover. Otherwise, my life is just all work,” she said.
She told Nylon, “I don’t feel any different, and sometimes when you go out, and you see the way people look at you, it makes you feel kind of alienated and a little odd. So I try to surround myself with people who never look at me that way, and never fake laugh at my jokes.” Spending time with your friends and family is so important when you’re working hard, you can lose sight of that. And after she’s gone to a concert with Emma Stone, attended Amy Schumer’s wedding, hung out with Kris Jenner, or done whatever cool social activity she has planned in the evening, it’s back to looking after herself. She’ll exfoliate every night, use retinol, and then add a thick face mask on top before enjoying her evening her way, whether she’s chilling with a book or spending time with her dog and watching TV, she knows the importance of investing in her me-time.
