Whether you bleach your hair (like me), use heat styling or simply expose it to the harsh winter weather, your hair might become more damaged and dull as the year draws to a close, so you need to rescue and restore it ready for those ‘new me’ selfies of 2016! Here are a few tips I swear by.
‘Bad hair day: Ain’t nobody got time for that’
Go for a regular cut!
My hair used to be so damaged from all the bleach and heat products that it wouldn’t really grow without splitting, even now my siblings feel my hair and still expect it to feel like straw but they’re pleasantly surprised by how soft it is. Don’t underestimate the power of a regular cut, having just an inch off can make a huge difference. Don’t be afraid to do it, it’ll grow back healthier and stronger than ever!
Detangle in the shower
Never has my hair received more compliments than when I take my brush into the shower with me. Brushing an intense conditioner like Kerástase Resistance Therapy Masque through your hair will ensure it gets evenly distributed and will leave your hair silky soft and shiny afterwards.

For all my bleached babes…
Honestly, there’s nothing better than a purple shampoo for white, grey or blonde hair, it makes those highlights look shinier, healthier and more like what you see on popular commercials, combats any yellow tones and nourishes colour treated hair better than your average conditioner can.

Good hair doesn’t end in the shower
The way you treat your hair after you come out of the shower determines how luscious it will be when it’s dry. Treat it like silk, wrap it gently, distribute a small amount of a high-powered serum like Phyto Phytolisse Ultra-Glossing Finishing Serum through the ends using your hands, brush it gently and make sure to alternate between the high heat and cold settings of your hair dryer to ensure minimum heat damage.
