This super inspiring documentary follows girls from around the world trying to better their community through technology. The code is about to be rewritten, as 5,000 girls join the challenge to design an app and win $10K to complete and release it. Fast-paced and heartfelt. We love it.

Long before Beyonce sung about hot sauce in her bag, Miss Simone was a big vocalist – not only for jazz music – but also for the rights of African Americans. She provoked her audience and lost a little of her popularity because she stood for her principles. It takes courage to be yourself, especially when it means making sacrifices. Nowadays it’s easy to call yourself a feminist (equal rights yay!), but girl power started in the early 60’s. We’ve all seen the black-and-white footage of girls burning bra’s, and holding clever signs, and this documentary puts it all in a bigger picture.
