Charlize Theron is one of Hollywood’s most down to earth actresses, she is funny, absolutely beautiful, not afraid to share what she thinks and is a feminist by heart. The South African beauty has an impressive acting career, which all started when she left her troubled youth behind and moved to America with nothing more than 400 dollars, a suitcase, and a very big dream!
Although she lives in America at the moment, Theron is still very active in her home country, she started an anti-rape campaign and is a well-known animal rights activists. We believe that she is a beautiful and inspiring human being and that is why, on this Monday morning, we give you 3 inspiring life lessons by Charlize Theron.
It’s okay to be a little weird sometimes
Advice that we took to heart in the CGD HQ. Who else can say that she invited president Obama to a strip club? (yes, that actually happened). She embraces her weirdness and is, but she also know how to take a stand in serious matters, and that is exactly what we love and like about her.
Being a feminist isn’t a bad thing
Charlize told Elle UK “Girls need to know that being a feminist is a good thing. It doesn’t mean that you hate men. It means equal rights. If you’re doing the same job, you should be compensated and treated in the same way.”
Chill every now and then
When someone asked her during an interview what advice she would give her younger self, she answered that her biggest regret is that she did not chill every now and then. Which, we believe, is perfect advice for busy Career Girls.
We could also add – take a leap! Embrace the fear and follow your dreams like Charlize did when she arrived to America with no money and big dreams. If you need more inspiration from amazing women why not check out Shonda Rhimes or Tara Mohr’s 10 Rules For Brilliant Women.
