#2 – Essentials of Entrepreneurship: Thinking & Action
Success in business can be improved with an understanding of key entrepreneurial characteristics and solutions. With this course, you can gain the skills and confidence to evaluate starting a business, in addition to becoming more enterprising in how you approach your roles should you decide to work in an organization. A great course to learn about what it takes to be an entrepreneur and your own potential to be one.

#3 - Social Psychology
Each of us is dealt a different hand in life, but we all face similar questions when it comes to human behavior: What leads us to like one person and dislike another? How do conflicts and prejudices develop, and how can they be reduced? Can psychological research help protect the environment, and if so, how? This course offers an introduction to classic and contemporary social psychology, covering topics such as decision-making, persuasion, group behavior, personal attraction, and factors that promote health and well-being.

#4- Digital Marketing
When you complete the Digital Marketing course you will have an understanding of the continually shifting consumer mindset and how to use varying digital platforms to reach different customer groups. You will understand strategic marketing concepts and the tools required to make informed decisions and set the direction for your company, business unit, department, or product line in a digital ecosystem.

#5 – Language and Information
Information is everywhere: in our words and our world, our thoughts and our theories, our devices and our databases. Logic is the study of that information: the features it has, how it’s represented, and how we can manipulate it. Learning logic helps you formulate and answer many different questions about information:

Do these two sentences say the same things in different ways, or do they say something subtly different? If you take this subject, you will learn how to use the core tools in logic: the idea of a formal language, which gives us a way to talk about a logical structure.

#6 -High Impact Business Writing
Effective writing is a powerful tool in the business environment. In this course, you will learn how to articulate your thoughts in a clear and concise manner that will allow your ideas to be better understood by your readers.

Improve your business writing skill by learning to select and use appropriate formats for your audience, use the correct medium and adjust your writing style accordingly, as well as identify your objective and communicate it clearly. You’ll also learn to spot, correct and avoid the most common writing pitfalls, and gain valuable experience analyzing, writing and revising a wide spectrum of business documents.

I actually completed their Introduction to Marketing course last year, although I paid £40 so that I could complete tests at the end of each module and get a certificate.
The course materials were great and the things I learned were so helpful and relevant to the Chartered Institute of Marketing course I am taking now at my local college. I would highly recommend doing a Coursera certificate!
I’m now tempted to take the High Impact Business writing course as that sounds like it would be really beneficial in my current job. x

I just discovered Coursera last week, and I am obsessed! Currently on Week 2 of Advertising and Society and enjoying putting my brain to use so far.

EdX and FutureLearn are also worth checking out. I just signed up to a discussion of Hiphop and Religion…not so much to develop my career skills but more because the thought of discussing hiphop in an academic context was too good to miss!

This post is brilliant! Thank you so much! I have already attended some courses on ‘coursera’ and also on ‘futurelearn’, but these ones you mentioned in this post are really interesting! :) :)

I really like the idea of the High Impact Business Writing course. I recently took a short course on Marketing your Business which I found useful for my blog, and I’m sure this writing course would too help me to create better content.
This sort of post is incredibly useful, especially with free resources so thank you for sharing. I certainly hope to see more in the future.
